Pro-Life Advocates Prepare Second 40-Day Campaign Against Abortion

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Pro-life advocates across the country are preparing for the second round of a 40-day campaign to renew local opposition to abortion businesses in their community. The 40 Days for Life campaign had tremendous success the first time around in rebuilding pro-life groups and talking women out of having abortions.

David Bereit, the director of the campaign, told LifeNews.com that "pro-life advocates in 59 cities across 31 states are preparing to launch the next wave."

"From February 6 until March 14, people across America will join together for 40 days of prayer and fasting for an end to abortion," he said.

The event includes "40 days of constant, peaceful vigil outside abortion facilities and Planned Parenthood offices and 40 days of intensive pro-life community outreach."

Bereit said the timeframe for the event coincides with the Christian season of Lent, a period where both Protestant and Catholic make personal sacrifices to help focus more clearly on their relationship with God.

During the first nationally coordinated 40 Days for Life effort in the fall of 2007, communities from coast to coast took part in the initiative.

"The results were staggering," said Bereit. "Over 100,000 people united in prayer and fasting, more than 22,000 people took to the streets to participate in peaceful prayer vigils outside abortion centers."

He said abortion businesses closed in some parts or cut back their number of hours or days they were open. Campaign participants noted 340 abortions prevented as a result of the effort.

It is facinating to read the origins of Eugenics, Birth Control, and Abortion. These people were truly Hitler types personalities. I wonder if people knew the contempt these "founders" had for other human beings, would Planned Parenthood still be supported?

Margaret Higgins Sanger (September 14, 1879 – September 6, 1966) was an American birth control activist, an advocate of negative eugenics, and the founder of the American Birth Control League (which eventually became Planned Parenthood).

Lothrop Stoddard (June 29, 1883–May 1, 1950), born Theodore Lothrop Stoddard, was an American political theorist, historian, eugenicist, and anti-immigration advocate who wrote a number of prominent books of early 20th-century scientific racism.

I’ve spent a good deal of time over the past few years researching the development of the eugenics movement. What most people don’t like to have pointed out is how it is directly linked to Darwinism and the Darwin family.

The eugenics movement has been responsible for the deaths of over ONE BILLION human beings in the last century, mostly in abortuaries which are currently slaughtering ONE MILLION infants a week worldwide.

Another big racist-eugenicist was Rachel Carson who wrote “Silent Spring” and has caused the deaths of tens of millions of Africans due to the ban on DDT which even National Geographic has since acknowledged was based on bogus science.

Amazing. There are also links to Rockefeller.

I also consider the fact that founder Sanger wrote "No Gods and No Masters". The original human sin was when "wo/man" deciding she really needed to take things into her own hands and not respect God's rules. The origin of all human suffering has been our own decision to want to rule ourselves and deny God.
