Rudy's absolutely INCREDIBLE drop in such a short period of time--rivals that of Howard Dean. It's truly 'mind-boggling' that he is now behind in NY--the state that 'knows him best',,,,,loves him,,,,and in most in-tune with his liberal social positions.

Rudy's HUGE, GIGANTIC DROP IS ABSOLUTELY ASTOUNDING!!!!

(especially given the fact that he had 'name recognition' that most candidates could only dream of in their wildest dreams--and name recognition that millions and millions of dollars CANNOT BUY!!!) Just think--it was only a few months ago that Huckabee was a complete unknown.

Agreed.

The big question for many months was, can Giuliani really kick everyone’s butt in FL and on Feb. 5 if he foregoes all the early states. For MONTHS it looked like the answer was yes. He led by over 40 points at one time in NJ.

But then, as these early states rolled in Giuliani was way down at the bottom in Ron Paul/Fred Thompson territory, I guess people in these 2/5 states started to re-think.

So, now, it appears there is a crystal clear answer to the question of whether he can ignore everything before FL. The answer is not just “no” but “HELL NO”. And it appears that not only will he not dominate 2/5, he will not even hold in NJ and NY. Amazing!

Rudy ran on being America’s Mayor ... and then the revelations about using NYPD to guard his mistress came out, it just blew a big whole in his campaign boat. Think of it:
undermined his #1 selling point; underscored his social liberalism; and reminded us of his skeletons in the closet.

I now know why the DNC were actually wanting us to nominate the ‘electable’ Rudy.

I lost a bet on this when Giuliani formally announced his candidacy last year, but I still swear that he’s never had any serious intention of running for the White House. He has used this “campaign” to promote himself, generate business for his companies, and get a bunch of his lackeys on a payroll that he himself didn’t have to cover (i.e., they’d be paid by campaign donors and matching Federal funds).

It makes me wonder: did he EVER have those numbers, really, or were the pollsters inflating him, and now realize they must show the real numbers or look like frauds as the real election results come in?
