Someone is not being truthful, here. The so-called nursing home needs to have it's license yanked. The poor fellow's family needs to consider the role their own uncaring absence played as well, before they go filing the inevitable lawsuit.

Long term care facilities can be dicey places. Pick them (for yourselves or parents) carefully. From last week around here:

FORT WORTH -- Some residents at a Fort Worth assisted living facility were physically abused or made to sleep on metal bed frames, and one had his food taken away for inappropriate behavior, the Texas attorney general's office contends in a lawsuit seeking to close the home.

Bertha McCoy, manager at Oasis Village, was responsible for the conditions, according to the suit. In one case, state investigators reported, they were told that she hit a resident, threw cold water on him and made him walk outside in the cold in his underwear as punishment for masturbation.

In other cases, residents told state inspectors that she threatened people with a hammer, according to court documents...
