A Volusia County nursing home resident who was found with maggots in one of his eyes, an infected breathing tube, a partially inserted cathater and bed sores has died, according to his family.
And they're wondering HOW he died??

the man had constant care from multiple hospice workers and two certified nursing aides at the nursing home. Someone is not being truthful, here. The so-called nursing home needs to have it's license yanked. The poor fellow's family needs to consider the role their own uncaring absence played as well, before they go filing the inevitable lawsuit.

According to a DeLand police report released in November, a representative from University Center West said that the man had constant care from multiple hospice workers and two certified nursing aides at the nursing home.
Constant care? I'd hate to see what the hell a case of neglect would look like in this place.

maggots only eat dead flesh/meat..they do not take one bite of live flesh..........the bed sore mention means he was not turned or his blood was never stimulated like a massage

I’d rather someone just do me in than ship me off to a nursing home.

Lawsuits all around. Disgusting.

A lot of these “care” facilities operate on the same principle as puppy mills.

When Hillary is taking care of health care, maggots-in-the-eye will be the LEAST of our worries.

if someone had maggots coming out of one of their orifices, I would hazard a guess that it is related to his death in some way

So??? The Police had purpose to investigate last November?
Wondering what is missing from this story.

Long term care facilities can be dicey places. Pick them (for yourselves or parents) carefully. From last week around here:
State tries to close assisted living facility
FORT WORTH -- Some residents at a Fort Worth assisted living facility were physically abused or made to sleep on metal bed frames, and one had his food taken away for inappropriate behavior, the Texas attorney general's office contends in a lawsuit seeking to close the home.
Bertha McCoy, manager at Oasis Village, was responsible for the conditions, according to the suit. In one case, state investigators reported, they were told that she hit a resident, threw cold water on him and made him walk outside in the cold in his underwear as punishment for masturbation.
In other cases, residents told state inspectors that she threatened people with a hammer, according to court documents...

It is not known if the cause of death was related to the aforementioned conditions. They probably forgot to feed him for the last couple months. Unfortunate oversight.

That’s what happens when you stare at Hillary for too long.
Seriously though, poor guy.
