This is private sector money for poor achieveing students. On one hand I'm blase about the program because of there being no tax dollars involved, but on the other hand I'm furious that there is a group of kids out there that have no understanding of intrinsic reward system.

This program will fail because there is link between an outward reward that then turns into an internal motivation. It's never worked before - don't see why it will work now.

Guess this guy just has money to burn.

Softballmom,

Please add my name to the Public Education list.

This must be my third or fourth request to you.

Thank you,

Former (thank goodness) teacher here.

Why did you decide to get out of teaching?

They’re just preparing them for a life on the welfare roles.

Minimum wage is $7.15. $8 an hour is more than minimum. And they expect the kids to want to go out in the real world when they graduate and take a minimum wage job? They’ll earn more by failing and staying in school as long as they can.

What idiocy.

Students will make approximately $8 an hour,

I was in the work force 7 years before I made $8 an hour.

Sheesh!

“They’ll earn more by failing and staying in school as long as they can.”

Frankly, the public school indoctrination centers would LOVE that. More idiot voters who don’t have a clue looking for and voting for anyone who will give, give, give to them, without them having to do anything at all of value. That is the plan.

Public schools are an evil and a pox on society.

In many cases it would make more sense to pay some hard cases $10 an hour to stay away from school and give the other kids a chance.

I may have to intentionally fail some classes now that I hear about this!
