Notice how “globull warming” has morphed into “climate change”.

Going to be pretty hard to sell “carbon credits” now.

One is mindful of the “tulip and bulb craze” that seized Holland between 1634 and 1637. The bulbs had first been imported from Asia Minor in the late 16th Century, and were comparatively rare. The tulips were attacked by a specific mosaic infection, which caused some spectular color changes in the blooms. The showy blooms were widely sought after, causing a serious skew in the prices, a real market bubble.

At the peak of this craze, people were liquidating entire estates to make even small purchases of bulbs, and all the oxygen was sucked out of every other part of the market. When the crash came, it dragged down the entire economy of Holland, and an extended depression resulted.

The same thing is lying in wait for carbon credits, as the planet goes through one of ts cyclic cooling periods.

In fact, the current depression of stock prices might even be traced to the overinvestment in “green” technologies that do not recognize economic realities.

It sure has! I guess they were tired of getting embarrassed at global warming rallies and photo-ops by cold weather. By adopting "Climate Change" they are now in the position of claiming that ANY weather that is remotely out of the ordinary is the fault of us heartless conservatives and our greedy ways.
