"During the trial, Kilpatrick bristled when testifying about speculation that he and Beatty were lovers.

"I think it was pretty demoralizing to her -- you have to know her -- but it's demoralizing to me as well," he said. "My mother is a congresswoman. There have always been strong women around me. My aunt is a state legislator. I think it's absurd to assert that every woman that works with a man is a whore. I think it's disrespectful not just to Christine Beatty but to women who do a professional job that they do every single day. And it's also disrespectful to their families as well."

I don't think this was inspired by Coleman Young, this is pure Bill Clinton. Clinton's way to deal with a lie is to "load it up"; to deny the lie by saying things that no one would say if they feared being exposed in a lie.

>>>I did not have text with that woman, Miss...<<

>> That is the quote of the day.

> LOL, I would say that was the Quote of the Century.

Yeah, but was there penetrating prose, or was it merely ORAL TEXT?

And what was the ringtone, since beepin' ain't cheatin'?

The 9 million was for the lost whistleblower case. It did not include the cost of defense lawyers for the mayor paid by the city. With respect to the 9 million alone, that money could have been used to hire 146 fireman, 123 police officers, or demolished 1,200 vacant decrepid buildings.

This was all occuring around the same time Kwame gave his wife the infamous Lincoln Navigator on the city's dime. Peace gift when wife found out about the ongoing affair?

Kym Worthy, the Wayne county prosecutor has not released a statement if she will prosecute on perjury charges. Don't hold your breath.

WJR & WWJ

"These five- and six-year-old text messages reflect a very difficult period in my personal life. It is profoundly embarrassing to have these extremely private messages now displayed in such a public manner. My wife and I worked our way through these intensely personal issues years ago. I would now ask that the public and the media respect the privacy of my wife and children and of Christine Beatty and her children at this deeply painful moment for our families."

Folks,

Think about this.

This Story WILL be big.

It is on the 10th anniversary or their abouts of Monica.

If Bill is asked about this by a reporter he will loose it.

WE have the whole Hillary-Obama dynamic (race).

And it will raise the specter of do we want "them" (the Clinton's) again, i.e.e the whole perjury mess.

Lying under oath is no big deal, just ask BJ Clinton.

I did not have text with that woman, Miss...

Good job! Very clever. (I wish I had come up with that.)

Is anyone really surprised?

Here's another good quote:

Wayne County Circuit Judge Michael Callahan, who oversaw the whistle-blower trial, was shown excerpts of text messages Wednesday. It was the first time he had seen them.

He said he is unlikely to take action, given that the case has been settled, but would cooperate if a prosecutor decides to investigate.

"If it happened during the case, they would feel the fury of my wrath, but it's over," Callahan said. "Now, I wish I had seen the messages."

"Fury of my wrath!" What a pussy!

It’s time to play Guess The Political Party. The article does not mention whether he is a Democrat or Republican.

Hey! The Detroit News stole your line and it was reported in Newsweek!

The mayor's attempt to spin his dalliance and denial as a long-ago love affair he now regrets does not appear to be gaining him much sympathy. Inspired by another chief executive caught lying about an affair, The Detroit News ran a political cartoon Friday showing Kilpatrick at a podium, pointing his finger self-righteously and saying: "I did not have text with that woman!"

The basis for that whistleblower lawsuit was he fired two bodyguards for providing details of various women the married Mayor was involved with. All lies of course.

Perjury, subornation of perjury, and obstruction of justice are the least of his worries now. It says there is substance behind the charges of wild partying and hookers, and the fight his wife never had with the hookers that never existed at the party that never happened. It was only a coincidence that these two hookers soon turned up dead.

Both parties have been trying to wish away the elephant in the living room. The pubbie state Attorney General undertook the unprecedented task of proving none of this happened within days of the story coming out. This was under instructions from the RAT governor, because the consequences of this seeing the light of day were just too awful to contemplate. Everybody wanted it buried and forgotten.

It might have stayed buried except for the secret agreement in the $9 million settlement, where all the parties agreed not to bring up the matter of text messages. The papers got wind of this, and got the court order forcing the paging company to cough up tens of thousands of messages. Among the messages was evidence of perjury, along with the usual sexual hanky panky.

This means they fired the cops because they were getting close to showing that the mayor and his bodyguards lived fast and loose on the taxpayer's dime. Detroiters are ready to forgive and forget about the $9 million hit they took, and are probably cheering KK for living like a rap star. But things get sticky if there are also a couple of dead hookers involved, and nobody can make them go away.
