The Virginia Conference, UMC, bishop is surrounded by fellow believers in the global warming fraud, the worldview that commercial and industrial progess is inherently abusive to the earth, and the prescription for greater government intervention and regulation of life and markets.

I guess Bishop Charlene Kammerer will have to mount her broomstick and fly to the sun. She can quote her scripture to the sun. It might give her a taste of what hell might be.

Inside every clergyman there is a politician—or a vacuum cleaner salesman—fighting to get out.

Maybe I should explain this to her:

1. Pursuing this nonsense will wreck the economy;
2. Wrecking the economy hits me in the pocket book;
3. Same for everyone in the pews next to me;
4. We will have less money coming into our households;
5. Therefore we’ll have less money to give to the church

Don’t blame us, you brought it on yourselves.

Any questions?

With all due respect to the Bishop...

To quote atmospheric science from “An Inconvenient Truth” is no different than quoting theology from “Mad Magazine”.

Stay out of my profession...and I will stay out of yours.

Perhaps I should send this to refresh the Bishop's memory. She seems to have forgotten a few things on her way up.

****

And God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth."

29 And God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.

30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food." And it was so.

This bishop is the former bishop in NC. For the record, I am a United Methodist, and I do not subscribe to this opinion. Frankly, I think it is a bit presumptuous of Kammerrer to suggest that we can destroy God’s creation. She is correct that God called man as a steward of His creation, but did not say that we are to “conserve” it. If that were the case then all inventions made from elements in the earth would be contrary to God’s command, and I don’t think even she believes that. We have created benefits to man and God’s creation by our clever stewardship and growth of His earth. It calls to mind Jesus parable of three men given talents (money) by their “boss.” The two men who took the talents and invested and “grew” them were praised. The one who “conserved” his talent by hiding it away in fear of losing it, was punished.

We have taken that which has been entrusted to us and created things did not exist before, in my opinion, acting in a way that is truly “in His image.”

Nothing has been “destroyed” (isn’t there a law of physics on this?). Just as God made man out of dust, man has made all sorts of wonderful things out of what God entrusted to us: medicines, transportation, books (like the Bible), and on and on. To have simply procreated and continued to live as in pre-Christian times would have been a waste of the minds that God gave us.

The bishop may mean well, but she is wrong. Mentioning Al Gore simply sealed the deal.

Why don’t religious professionals stick to their own fields of endeavor? Do they not realize that morality is the best way to ensure the stewardship of the earth is as wise as possible? If we would stop breaking up families, glorifying immoral celebrities, worshipping wealthy people, expecting the government to care for the poor, competing with each other for the latest tech toy, judging each other by the latest fashions, etc. etc. ad nauseum, we might just be satisfied for utilizing the earth’s resources for their proper and needful purposes and not for conspicious consumption. Let this Bishop, or ex-Bishop, look to apply the word of God in all its glory and the earth would be taken care of along the way.

Oh, but preaching the full word of God makes people uncomfortable, and they don’t come back next Sunday or drop money into the collection plates, you say? Easy choice for you, I guess.

This entire fraud regarding global warming can be explained and refuted by reading the first chapter of Romans. It not only explains the worship of "mother earth', but also homosexuality, the environmental wackos, the animal rights activists etc.

Using God's Word is the best defense in exposing this secular religion.

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.

For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God, or give thanks; but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Professing to be wise, they became fools,
and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.

Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, that their bodies might be dishonored among them.

For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen."
Romans 1:18-25

Yes, these humanists worship animals,mother earth and themselves...there is no worship of God or Jesus Christ. It is so disappointing to see, not only some of the Republican candidates fall for these lies, but "religious" leaders as well.

First off, what part of the pastoral epistles does this woman and those of her faith not understand?
Paul tells us in his letter to Timothy what a woman’s role in the church should be,

(1Timothy 2:11-12 NKJV)
(“A woman must quietly receive instruction with entire submissiveness.
But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet.“)

Then we can also add what he wrote to the Corinthians in his first letter to them.

(1Corinthians 14:34-37 NKJV)
(Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says. And if they want to learn something, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is shameful for women to speak in church.
Or did the word of God come originally from you? Or was it you only that it reached? If anyone thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things which I write to you are the commandments of the Lord. But if anyone is ignorant, let him be ignorant.)

There is a place for women to teach, but it is not with men. Paul points out to that this rule only applies to “a woman’s authority over a man”. All one has to do is read what he wrote to Titus and you will see that there is a place for women to teach.

(Titus 2:3-5 NKJV)
(Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good,so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored)

Why is it people become Christians, but then want to change what is required. Take me, rake me, but I will not change from my stance on this. Too many men, women and children have died to defend the Name and teachings of Jesus Christ. Just read Fox’s Book of Martyrs and you all will see that we stand on the shoulders of giants. I am just a spoke in the wheel, I if those like this woman’s followers want to change the rules they will be put in their place in the end. These words of Christ Himself should ring loudly in their heads’

(Matthew 7:22-23 NKJV)
(”Not everyone who says to Me, “Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, “Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, “I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’)

It has been many moons since I last gave my opinion on anything here, but I have been living a rebirth in my soul. But this is just wrong in so many ways, that I had to speak up. By the way, those who think “Global Warming is wrong and nothing but junk science”, I agree 100%
Only GOD can destroy this planet, and one day He will destroy this planet,

(2 Peter 3:12 NASB)
(looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?)

May God bless America and those who fear Him,
Those who do not, I pray that God have mercy upon their soul
My peace has been said

God is counting on us — will we be found wanting?

I missed the chapter in the Bible on global warming. Of course, silly me, I also missed the part in the constitution about the right to abortion and gay marriage.

:-)

The leftists are destroying every institution from sea to shining sea with their naked stupidity.
