During Thursday night's Republican debate, presidential candidate Mitt Romney said something that angered me a bit...
And one more thing. What -- what an audacious and arrogant thing for the Democrats to say, as Hillary Clinton did, that they are responsible for the progress that the surge has seen, by virtue of their trying to pull out so quickly. No, this time I'm not mad AT Mitt.Look, the success over there is due to the -- the blood and the courage of our servicemen and women, and to General Petraeus and to President Bush, not to General Hillary Clinton.

Nothing is too good for our fighting men, and nothing is what they get.
“The force of our knives entering their backs pushed the troops forward to victory!”

My only concern is they aren’t hit hard enough. It is my contention that it should be absolutely merciless! Hold nothing back, don’t be scared about blowback or backfires...let er rip with both barrels!
At least Romny pointed out the witches audacity!
Yes, but Reid, Pelosi and Murtha can not reveal their strategy until victory is assured.
By this criterion Chamberlain and Petain were responsible for the Allied defeat of the Nazis.
Mitt won me over last night quite frankly with his zingers aimed at the CLINTOONS. He’s just getting the hang of this and he’s rolled up his sleeves.
‘Rats don’t have any war heroes so they have to manufacture them as they go along. And they aren’t in the military these days but they play the parts in movies.
If i recall correctly, when Gen Petraeus was explaining his plan before Congress,Hillary stated that to believe the general and his plan “required the willing suspension of disbelief”.Talk about a 180 degree turn.Did anyone else hear that?
I know a name for this must have been coined already but clearly a single word, a label, is needed to describe this kind of psychological ailment.
What the H377 goes through their minds? Is it the drugs? Is it the pure, unadulterated lust for power?
All I can say is; “Election time is approaching, Swift Boaters, Start Your Engines!”
And it came to past...
I wish his critics at Free Republic would just get over what he said, or meant, or did, or did not do in Massachusetts.
With Fred Thompson gone, there is no viable candidate but Romney. The Senator from the New York Times and the southern Baptist preacher/Governor simply do not have a wide enough appeal to win the Presidency. Nor is their preparation deep enough and broad enough to perform well. I would have been happy with Thompson or Hunter but it did not happen. They may be each angling for a brokered convention. It has novelty value in this age, but I don’t see it as a winning strategy for the Republican party.
Bubba can take credit for 9-11, too.
“The Democrat Party, through their anti-war, defeatist rhetoric, emboldened the enemy, thus costing many of our soldiers and Iraqi civilians their lives”.
As I was reading this Bob I was thinking precisely that above, and then noted that you wrote it. Thanks.
Concurrently the Leftist defeatist actions I believe extended the war as well.
Moi aussi!
Specifically, how would you run against Hillary and Bill Clinton in November?
Romney: I frankly can’t wait, because the idea of Bill Clinton back in the White House with nothing to do is something I just can’t imagine. I can’t imagine the American people can’t imagine, and I...
Apparently, Clinton willingly suspended disbelief WRT the surge long enough to go over to Iraq and win the War all by herself.
How noble and courageous.
As well, I’m sure Clinton’s refusal to disavow Moveon’s Gen Betrayus ad helped a lot.
Points for Mitt! I like the way he said that.
Try as one might, it is most likely impossible to find even the tiniest example of principal in this woman.
She is the symbol of death to our nation.
On a lighter side, John McCain did not grit his teeth today!
