OPEN BORDERS ADVOCATE JUAN HERNANDEZ HAS JOINED THE MCCAIN CAMPAIGN
hotair ^ | 01/25/2008 | Bryan

John McCain says that he has heard the American people and now understands that we need to secure the border before enacting any “comprehensive” immigration reform. But John McCain has also said that he hasn’t changed his position. He supported amnesty in 2003 by name, proposed it in 2006 and 2007 without calling it amnesty, and says that anyone who says that he ever supported amnesty is a liar. He has insulted Americans who advocate border security and has cursed at the thought of building a border fence. Which of all of these is the real John McCain? The presence of Juan Hernandez in the background of the McCain campaign tells me that John McCain is as weak on border security now as he ever was.

Old school Hot Air readers might remember Dr. Juan Hernandez. He’s a dual citizen of the US and Mexico, was a member of Vicente Fox’s government, and is as open borders as you can get. In December 2006, Michelle hosted the Factor and the producers decided to see what it would be like to put her and Hernandez on the show together. “Chummy” does not describe the atmosphere.

Certainly, John McCain leaves a bitter taste in my
mouth. He will need to draw a massive Democratic and
Hispanic vote to win the Presidency.

The GOP had better understand that if McLame is the nominee millions of conservatives will stay home or vote third party.

Yeah, if McCain were to get the WH it would be another of the disappointments of Bush all over again. The fence would get stalled, ICE would be demobilized and illegal immigration would skyrocket. The only reason anything IS being dome is the next election. Once that is behind them these Washington bags will revert back to their old ways IMO.

Dr. Juan Hernandez website is: http://www.juanhernandez.org
So...why not have open borders with every country in the whole world! Open doors on houses, clubs, schools? Just take locks off all doors, open jails, prisons, and let anyone come...go. Let anyone from India, Bangladesh, China, Ireland, Cuba come to the USA,...give them all welfare, and this way we can all be one happy family! Funny, but in Mexico, they don’t open their borders to just anyone... Really.

Yes. Mexico has the most restrictive immigration policies around. To boot, they place severe restrictions on Foreign ownership of assets and, in particular, real estate.

Like their approach to (Un)Fair Trade, where US export goods are subject to tariff protections while virtually all imports are tariff free, this makes perfect sense to our Washington Elites.

Romney should have stuck to his guns and called it amnesty instead of backing down.
