BEHIND THE SCENES WITH BRETT BAIER:
GEORGE W BUSH: FIGHTING TO THE FINISH
By Brett Baier

As President Bush enters the final year of his presidency, he granted me and FOX News Channel’s Documentary Unit unprecedented access to his day-to-day world. The documentary will air this Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET.

I’ve really enjoyed working on this program. For starters, the footage you will see in this hour is historic and fascinating. We were given access to the president at his ranch in Texas, in the Oval Office during meetings, aboard Air Force One during his historic trip to the Mideast and in the White House residence that is rarely seen.

We visited the president’s ranch multiple times. With our cameras rolling, he drove me around for more than an hour, giving me a guided tour of landscape while he shared his thoughts on the war, the presidential race, immigration, family and faith. We started with a long interview outside of his office on the ranch and thought that might be all we would get. But, the president asked us to hop in his pickup truck and proceeded to drive me and one cameraman all over his 1,600 acre ranch.

For those of you misfortunate enough to have read Noonan’s commentary today and/or listened to Ingraham’s rhetorical applause of said commentary, I give you my PEGGY NOONAN/LAURA INGRAHAM RANT. [I originally posted this on another forum.]

“I join all of you in my utter contempt for the snarky, snobby, sucky Noonan and Ingraham — two crass, classless, crybabies who delight in degrading our beloved President because he is everything they are not!

It’s obvious that Noonan is a woman scorned, first by Reagan and then by GWB — two perceptive men who recognized her for the vapid viper she is.

In response, NOONAN made the following comment about Reagan:

“THE BATTLE FOR THE MIND OF RONALD REAGAN WAS LIKE THE TRENCH WARFARE OF WORLD WAR I: NEVER HAVE SO MANY FOUGHT SO HARD FOR SUCH BARREN TERRAIN”

I suppose GWB should consider himself lucky that Noonan merely accuses him of destroying the Republican Party — unlike, of course, the conservative elitists/propagandists who insist that Ronald Reagan was a ‘conservative’ purist, when he was actually a REPUBLICAN pragmatist, for the express purpose of destroying ALL current Republicans (including our President).

Noonan is a very small, very petty narcissist whose nasty rhetoric is advanced by similarly petty talk show hosts like Ingraham. Noonan deserves her insignificant (unseen) role at MSNBC and Ingraham deserves to be replaced by Tony Snow AGAIN on my local radio station — I certainly hope Tony returns to the airwaves SOON!

I read the Noonan piece and it was truly egocentric and
had no basis on reality as we know it. It made me furious.

SHE has caused more rifts in the Republican party than anyone
I know of for a long time! All she does is criticize and never
offers any help or support!

P.S....I hope Tony rescues us from the mediocrity on the
airwaves SOON, too.

Pleeeeeeze, Tony! America needs you.

Did Bush Destroy The Republican Party? ^

Peggy Noonan turned against Bush on the day of his second Inaugural, and she has been irrational in her comdemnation of him ever since.

&&&&&

And just happened to turn on the Fox News station at the start of the O’Reilly rerun, to hear Laura ask Peggy when she turned against President Bush and Peggy actually said that it was on the day of the Second Inautural Address!!!

Thanks for the dose Jonny - decided to have early night yesterday as had a busy day at work spent a lot of time in stores actually sorting out goods and packing them.

My boss who is also the HR director helped me as the store-man had a day off so that we could get the goods that had been inspected packed and ready for a college on Monday to assist me in shipping as she will have some free time as her main work for the month slows down in the final week of the month to then explode during the first week of the month.

When I saw it with the no women allowed symbol I could not resist it I bet though more women actually buy it and eat it than men - LOL.

For those wondering what we are talking about, we have a chocolate bar in Britain which is a chunky bar of chocolate which when originally introduced the advertising was the ideal chocolate for men and the group they decided to focus on for the campaign was lorry drivers. They even do an easter egg with cardboard truck etc most years.

Recently they launch an advertising campaign saying that this chocolate was not for women being a real man's bar, a very tongue in cheek series of adverts and then printed the no women sign on the bar of chocolate as well.

Hi there snugs - clever advertising idea.

Are you missing your Vanilla Nut coffee? I have it here ready to post to you. January is my busiest month at work, so hopefully it will slow down soon and I can turn my attention to other “more pressing” things like posting your coffee.
