On This Day 1998: Clinton denies affair with intern (Happy 10th Anniversary!)
BBC News ^ | 26 January, 2008

President Clinton has strongly denied allegations that he had an affair with a 24-year-old former White House aide. He also rejected accusations that he asked her to lie about the relationship on oath.

Mr Clinton has come under intense media pressure as rumours circulate that he conducted an 18-month affair with Monica Lewinsky in 1995.

"I did not have sexual relations with that woman" Bill Clinton

Miss Lewinsky, who is currently in hiding, has made no public admission, although it is understood that she has admitted to the relationship on tape.

The president made his categoric denial at a White House news conference today.

With his fist clenched and his voice shaking, he said: "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky.

"I never told anybody to lie, not a single time, never.

"These allegations are false and I need to get back to work for the American people."

Mr Clinton left the room without answering any questions.

First lady Hillary Clinton is said to be in "fighting mood" and has vowed to stand by her husband to save his political career.

I wonder if the MSM are marking the anniversary. You know that if it had been a Republican, they sure would be.

Well, Happy 10th Anniversary anyway. I wonder what Bill's giving Hillary to mark the occasion. Hmmm?

Hillary was asked By Matt Lauer about the Right Wing Conspiracy Statement.... and she took it out of the Lewinsky context and started talking about how the Right wing despises her and her Husband and no one else..

To celebrate this day I encourage every Freeper to find a reporter from a MSM outlet and lie to them!

Ten years! And the American voter evidently hasn’t learned a thing.

Well do ya think Obamma will make mention of this anniversary in any appearances he has today?
He should.

What's the old saying: "The fickle finger of fate"?

I think I got that right but if I did not, please don't kill me. Respectively submitted.

I really don't think he's got the stomach for it. It would be GREAT if he did though...wish I knew in advance, but maybe I'll just stock up on the popcorn anyway.

I’ve been wondering what that inflamed pustule is on Bubba’s face. Does he still get zits?

It still amazes me that people are so easily corrupted.

The guy forever defamed the office, he broke two major laws against perjury and obstruction of justice, he took advantage of not only a subordinate but a woman young enough to be his daughter, he completely betrayed his family and he set the worst possible example as a role model for the youth.

You know, I have no love loss for Hillary, but she didn’t deserve that humiliation. No one does. And he knew, HE KNEW, that he risked not only his own self by doing it but that if it became known that he would put her through one of the worst humilations of all time.

But all of that is not even the worst thing. The worst thing is that somehow, his behavior became glorified. Not even just trivialized (which is deplorable), but actually glorified. By acting like that, he became the “first black president”? Are you kidding me? Evidently adultery, molesting and lying are black qualities? That type of comment is worse than a thousand “N” bombs.

Idiotic, corrupting MTV-braindead degenerate lameness. And that he wasn’t forced out of office for it, let alone prosecuted and imprisoned, is to the country’s collective shame.

It disgusts me that this man was ever an American president.

It also disgusts me that his co-conspirator wife and he want to get back in our White House.

Idiotic, corrupting MTV-braindead degenerate lameness.

That pretty well sums it up.

One point too often overlooked:
Once caught, he felt compelled to lie.
That lie was twisted by the media into a virtue:
"He did it for his family." was the widely accepted excuse.

But if he feared exposure, then he was vulnerable to blackmail.
And his high office was severely and unforgivably compromised.

It would have been better for us if he'd freely admitted his corruption and assumed a 'Goodtime Charlie' persona.

Never forget his betrayals.

Our failure to kick him out is a black mark against all of us.

But him mostly.

Someone, can’t recall who, said Bill’s helping Hillary become president is a form of alimony.
