The math of 4 out of 5 black voters going for Obama in SC means that if only 3 out of 5 black voters had gone for Obama, it would be near to a tie between Hillary & Obama.
How many whites went for Hillary Rodham?
About half voted for Hillary.
This Obama thing is ripping the Democratic party wide open. 4 out of 5 blacks in SC voted for Obama and they are 50% of the electorate there; if that ratio was 3 out of 5 instead of 4 out of 5 hillary would tie obama in SC.
On top of this, we had the Congressional Black Caucus sponsored debate last Monday where Obama was cheered whenever he answered a question and Hillary was booed. Unbelievable
And 5 of 5 still voted for the candidate that they beleive will give them the most entitlements.
You see, the problem with Republicans is that they are so divisive, while the Democrats are harmonious.
According to the exit polls, Clinton only won the 60+ non-black vote. Edwards won the younger non-black vote. Either their exit poll is flawed, or I would expect Edwards to be doing better.
This explains why the RATS go so far to paint Republicans as racists, anti-black, etc.
The RATS know that if the black vote dropped to even 85%, they would never win another national election. And they would lose a ton of state and local elections as well.
you write: “The RATS know that if the black vote dropped to even 85%, they would never win another national election. And they would lose a ton of state and local elections as well.”
Precisely. I have been doing that math for decades also and pointing it out to people as to the reason the Democrats keep pandering to the Jesse Jackson/Al Sharpton crowd.
I really can't blame the electorate, local govenment's greed has overtaken common sense!
Before Christmas, I was channel surfing and I happen to come across C-SPAN that was televising a conference sponsored by the Black GOP of Florida. One of the people at the head table, and I forget his name but he was an influential African-American, gave an interesting statistic. He said that a large group of the black population was surveyed and given the platforms of the Republicans and the Democrats. However, neither of the platforms were identified as such. He said 70% of the respondents identified with the Republican platform! Yet, 90% of the blacks support the Democrats. Needless to say, he was very frustrated how the Republican party has not communicated to the blacks as what they have to offer.
Racism rears its ugly head again in the African-American community.
The big news is that (1) African-Americans were able to vote in record numbers and (2) even if no African-Americans voted, B. Hussein still beats Hillary-the-Red.
I could never vote for Osama Hussein Obama.
Afraid you are right. Come November the blacks will line up behind the Welfare Empress as before.
If Hillary gets the nomination, will there be enough Hispanics voting for her to cancel out all the blacks she and bubba pissed off?
He used feel good sound bites all the time. He really doesn’t say anything.
The Democrats just can't help throwing the Race Card, even at each other, at the slightest excuse.
Martin Kuther King's dream will never come true because his four children are waaay too old to outlive the current crop of Democrats.
"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." ....... Martin Luther King
Michael Steele for VP!!!!
Obama just finished his speech... Pretty Martin Luther Kingish. Or Bobby Kennedhish. Makes Hillary look like the old witch that she is.
Payback time for the democrats. They deserve it.
SC is not an accurate reading of America. Too many voters in SC were Black.
Race and gender politics within the radical left, aka
socialist aka democrat party?
Chickens come home to roost.
This is a very interesting primary campaign.
The traditional coalitions in both parties are disintegrating, without new coalitions forming to replace them.
I truly believe that a large percentage of them will stay home in protest, or even vote GOP (if McCain wins the GOP nomination). I don’t prefer McCain, but I’d love to see Hillary lose the election, being thought of as a racist by her own party.
Also, the Hispanics would vote heavily for McCain, too. I say this as a Fredhead.
That is true in a sense, but there are many states with a large black vote where they could destroy her in the general election.
She was the only democrat on the ticket in Michigan, and still over 40% of the voters were uncommitted. Consider how many more blacks would have come out if Obama had been on the ballot.
It is becoming very apparent to the blacks that Hillary is getting favoritism. They have to be angry that there was only one name on that ballot, and it was not the black man. This will be remembered in November. Oh yeah, the democrats are the racist party. Spread the news. This is what they have said of the GOP for many years, and it's coming back to haunt them.
I actually see a bit of a silver lining in these figures. Obama is mounting a campaign more positive than the others and based on a hope for change. We can argue whether or not it is valid, but that is another thread. Hillary and especially Edwards are trying to appeal to those who like government dependence and not much hope. There is definitely something to do with color here, but it may be more than that too.
I'm sure that it was a beautiful speech that brought a lump to the throat.
Did he actually say anything?
Yes. Obama said that GW Bush had outlawed belief and if we elect Obama he will let us believe again.
So, South Carolina’s blacks went 80% for Obama - the black candidate, and this was unexpected?
The remaining 20% of South Carolina’s black’s votes were spread out to Hillary, Edwards and the remaining bottom feeders....
Sort of makes the Clinton’s claim that Obama is the black’s candidate a statement of fact — doesn’t it?
Actually, it’s the Vast Black Wing Conspiracy.
You are absolutely right! The Dems are the party of racists. I am an independent but I don’t see myself voting for Obama or globalist Hillary. I still lean towards Huckabee, or maybe Ron Paul.
