While we (wonks or semi-wonks) ignore the MSM, or think we do, I think they still have an almost subliminal influence on the spiritus mundi of the country.

They are inescapable and creep into our subconsious, even those of us who know better.

They are our worst enemy. We would never have had Clinton without the assistance of the MSM.

I know that Maureen Dowd was on the trip, but she was filing stories on the election, including ones with specific bylines implying she was in New Hampshire and not Jerusalem on primary day (the stories included first hand descriptions of events as if she were there).

#####

Good grief!! They are all losing their minds in this age of true fact-checking -— something that the NYTimes used to brag about.

It will be hard to choose a R senator as we are so depleted already. I think there are 22 contests involving incumbent or not-running-again Republicans, and only about 12 or 13 Dems in this cycle.

Ted has been King of the Senate Democrats for so many years that he has always seen the Clintons as his chief competitors. Caroline did not get an op-ed in the NYTimes without consulting her uncle first. It was a co-ordinated event.

Boy, Chris used his bully pulpit to promote McCain and slam Mitt every chance he got today...and he 'made' himself many chances to do both!

Sean has been really supporting Romney the last few weeks, I think he has seen the writing on the wall concerning Rudy.

I finally realized he was saying nothing but saying it really well.

A friend and I were just talking about that speech,
and for what should’ve been a gleeful situation, he
had a strangely somber, bewildered look on his face.

My friend heard a talking head say that he has been
viscerally hurt by the Clinton tactics .. if so,
it was showing in his demeanor. Very serious, few
smiles. It stood out to me.

Count on it. I haven’t been wrong yet.

Ok, happily...and don't you go pull one of those "there's a first time for everything" things now! ;^)

Hi ma, just now catching up. I think in my nephew’s case the prosecution would argue that Evan is a highly trained soldier, and should be able to function perfectly after 3 days with no sleep, while Bill Clinton is a trained monkey...

And MoDo got dysentery on the trip, and
the President was nice enough to have
his doctor treat her and get her back
to the US on Air Force One. Think she
would’ve parted her viper lips long
enough to thank him publicly for his
kindness?? Not that I’ve read/heard.

He grew up in Hawaii, where everyone has a certain amount of color. It is no big thing. He did not grow up like innercity American blacks with a huge chip on his shoulder. He is learning a few realities of the Democratic party’s prejudices during this campaign.

I mentally compared the Clinton "family" with what we would have with the Romney family. The mental images made me shudder in thinking that it could happen... again.  It's like a bad nightmare, repeating itself. Imagine Freddy Kruger and Groundhog Day rolled into one.

"With Hillary we have her, Bill, Chelsea, Hugh and Tony Rodham and Roger Clinton."

Compared to the Romney's,  this is good versus evil on a scale previously unheard of.

If I add a Janet Reno, Madeline Albright, Sandy Berger or Joycelin Elders to this mental movie, it becomes a horror story of epic proportions.

(of course he did the ads in English so few who vote down here will understand anyway)

infuriatingly ironic, but, hilarious just the same the way you put it.

Dittos ..!

Just said that yesterday and again
today.

I believe it with my whole being.
NO ONE knows what’s coming next ..
that is, no earthly being. Many
things will yet play out, and
God is in charge.
