Immigration is seen as the top issue by just 12% of Floridas Likely Republican Primary Voters, but they overwhelmingly favor Romney over McCain by a 63% to 7%
I was actually polled, got a call yesterday. among the questions was my preference if the general was held today. the two scenarios presented were Clinton v. Rudy and Clinton v. McCain. no mention of Mitt, Hucky, or Obama-the-amazing empty suit.
No time for resting, but here is some encouraging news:
Intrade quotes on RCP have bounced back for Romney, and this does not include the Rasmussen poll.
Mason Dixon was the only poll that got Michigan correct, which was a final result of Romney by 8. The avg of the RCP polls in MI was Romney by 3. Mason Dixon in Florida (pre-debate) has Romney by 4.
The GOP establishment would obviously prefer to run McCain and lose (”it’s his turn”) if it means they keep control. McCain is a fraud and a fake. I do not want to spend 4 years having to defend him.
MYTH is a fraud and a fake and a liar too.
He is a weaker candidate than McInsane against the Democrats in the general.
Its not the 27% going for McCain.
Its the entire GOP going off the conservative reservation.
Romney and McCain are not conservatives and neither man deserves to be the nominee.
That is conventional wisdom nonsense. The RATS are praying for McCain.
A Mormon and a black-—wait a minute, didn’t “House” have a black Mormon on his staff for a while? This could get good.
As more people become familiar with Mitt Romney, he will become the obvious choice to be our next president.
Yet we still have to sit through MSM reports of McCain being the “front runner”.
It is pretty pathetic for America to have come to the point that it chooses the President of the United States based on age or looks.
Fred Thompson would have been toast on looks.
Ronald Reagan would have been toast on age.
By that criteria, Romney's Ken Doll looks are clearly the way to go for us.
LOL
Maybe this result shows that deliberate and nasty distortion of the truth was not effective. Those who like to jab at Governor Romney as “myth” need to consider the myth being propagated that McCain can most effectively win the general election. The truth that will be exposed about him will be more damaging than the truth that was exposed about John Kerry.
It doesn’t really matter who takes the WH in ‘08. I believe it’ll be a one term presidency...seat filler, until ‘12 when a 2 termer like steps i the way Reagan did after Carter.
It matters for the Supreme Court. And, 30 years later, we are still cleaning up the havoc that Carter created.
yeah, that’s exciting! Ron needs to calm down and get a more humble job. He has been in politics too long in my opinion. He discredits the good he says with his weak mamby pamby approach to the islamic whackos.
I realize that a lot of damage can b done in one term. Unfortunately, none of the candidates are stellar enough to be 2 termers. Even for the dems, they will crash and burn in one term with the candidates they have. I’m stating a huge probability here and not trying to act indifferent to the situation at hand.
Yes it does. And as far as I can tell McCain has not made any promises or mention of the type of judges he will appoint. Given his strong propensity to cave to Democrats on a host of issues and he has seemed in the last 8 years to pick his battles against conservatives does not give me good hope. Not to mention he seems to really like Warren Rudman..the man who brought us Souter
it is a stark difference between the O and M.. he is going to look very old, very short and very mean.
It moved there from New York.
