I think things are shaping up....just fine. He has the most delegates before Florida, too.

McCain is not in the lead...just so ya know.

The polls might not mean much in Florida since they have had early voting going on for the last two to three weeks. According to what I have read almost 1 million people have already voted. With the Democratic primary out a lot of democrats are voting in the Republican Primary and I wonder who they are voting for.

Anything that keeps McAmnesty out of the WH is a great thing.

(Geraldo) had panelists on ... speaking as if its a forgone conclusion McCain will get the nomination ...

TV pundits and other top tier media wonks have been obsessed with McCain for 20 years ..... it's McCain this, McCain that.....

So when a REAL outsider like Mitt Romney comes along, they don't even recognize the possibility that he's viable.

Just more "beltway mentality" from pundits who see things through Washington DC-colored glasses.

Small reassurance about early voters.

Their opinion is being measured by these polls. The questions asked of respondents is “If you have already voted, or intend to vote either Tuesday or before then, for whom did you already vote or if you haven’t yet, for whom do you plan to vote?”

Last time I checked, Romney has 73 delegate compared to McCain's 38.

Thus, Romney should be considered the front-runner at this point in time.

the more it looks like young Barack will win Deomcrat nomination, the less attractive old John will be.

Exacto-mundo!

Besides, I hate to sound like a cliche (or heaven forbid, a Democrat) but this country needs someone who has NOT been in Washington DC the past 30 years.

Romney is the only viable one who fits that mold.

McCain -- compromised thru and thru.

Fred -- less compromised, but still a good 'ol boy Wash insider.

Rudy -- no way Hose!

Duncan -- great political stances but no popularity.

Huckabee -- promotes his Christianity first, and improving America seems an afterthought.

Romney is da man!

over 40% of voters have already voted...

There should be some type of absentee check-valve whereby if the person you voted for by absentee ballot has dropped off.... you could withdraw your ballot and then vote in person at a voting booth.

Otherwise, these primaries are somewhat misleading if not flat out wrong.

MYTH is a fraud and a fake and a liar too.

Really...funny I don't remember a recall election being run against Mitt. We have had them in Arizona against McCain..too bad they failed.

Novak...

Novak and McCain have each others' phone numbers on speed dial.

Of COURSE Novak wants McCain to win. That way, Novak can continue getting "anonymous" scoops from McCain.

If Romney wins, Novak will be out in the cold with all the other Washington insider pundits and journalists.

(The RNC) allowed open primaries to oust the conservatives.

Although I empathize with your comment, it was up to those conservative candidates to develop support.

If they can't get a decent percentage of votes from an open primary state, as the thinking goes, how can they expect to do well in the general election.

it is a stark difference between the O and M.. he is going to look very old,

As I said, Fred Thompson would have been toast.

"No, he is not my Grandpa."

very short

Jet jockeys tend to be short. Short guys fit into the cockpit better and they do not get above-the-knee amputations when they have to eject.

And, actually, he was was no shorter than Nixon.

and very mean.

Good!

Maybe that's what it takes to win the friggin' war.

Haven't we been complaining for 8 years that Bush won't fight back?

This "how he looks" angle may be a sorry fact of life in 21st Century America but it is still a pathetic way to choose a leader. Abrahan Lincoln loked so horrible that political cartoonists sometimes depicted him as an ape.

Obama might be seen by some as being "too black".

As for me, I do not care whether my President is tall or short or ugly or handsome or a man or a woman or black or white or suffering from a skin condition that makes him or her purple with green polka dots.

I want somebody who will win this war and not mess up everything else too badly.

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but any informed voter should realize in the primaries how quickly things could change. Like for instance Fred voters, if they were so strong in their beliefs that they wanted to vote for him, they also should have realized the peril of voting for someone that might not be in the race by the time the votes were counted.

I guess it is just a case of buyer beware.

Now after the disappointment of Fred's quitting on us, I must be honest in my own assessment of Romney. I too have been against his candidacy for quite some time based upon the slickness of him and his certain fast talking approach. His Mormonism is not a problem for me as I have been there and done that. I'll figure he is smarter than most of them and will rise above their so called control of him. There might have been a time when I too believed in the "only true church" business and I got over it. I have met Mitt on a few occasions; I believe he will get over it too.

Consider the poor choices we have between the Hick, the McLame and the rino Rudi. Only Romney can win the debates with Hillery and/or Barry Obama. I'm with Mark Levin on this one.

Just my opinion.
