LOL! I’m 41 with eight children at home. I sometimes think Iraq would be a vacation :-).
My oldest daughter plans to join the service as soon as she’s old enough. With five younger brothers, she’s tough enough to chew iron and spit nails.
I served in Vietnam with a chief nurse somewhere in her 50’s.
I was a very young Lt. in the ANC at the time. How she did it I will never know. The heat, monsoon’s, living in tents and worry having so many young people under her command. We buried that lovely Col. last year. She was a sweetheart.
