Bill Pleads With Ted, Is Rebuffed

Ouch! Maybe being an ex-president isn't what it used to be. Especially after you've tarnished the image throwing so much South Carolina mud.

“This is the biggest Democratic endorsement Obama could possibly get short of Bill Clinton,” said a high-level Democrat.

The Clinton campaign launched a last-ditch effort over the last few days to stop Kennedy's move, orchestrating a flood of phone calls to Kennedy from sources ranging from union chiefs to his Massachusetts constituents.

The former president also called Kennedy in a vain attempt to keep him out of the race, a source familiar with the conversation said.

During his two terms in the White House, President Clinton made repeated overtures to the Kennedy family. So the senator’s rejection of his wife is at least as embarrassing as her 28-point loss in the South Carolina primary on Saturday.

Let me be contrarian and suggest that Hillie never really wanted the Swimmer’s endorsement, something that wouldn’t do her any good during the general election.

You make an excellent point, given that the Witch seems to have been running towards the center during the primaries, focused on the general election. She's still not out of it, we move to states where African-Americans do not make up a majority of even the Democrat voters. As long as she picks up at least 40% of the delegates in the states where she runs a close second to Barry O, she's still very much in this thing.

But you gotta admit, it's fun to go over to DU and see the moonbats who support Shrillery deride Fat Teddy as 'senile'!!!

Would you vote for Obama in exchange for never, ever, ever hearing or seeing the clintons again?

Oh, please, you're putting that in a much too tempting way! Especially if McCain got the Republican nomination...

They've noticed he's senile?

Wow. Not much gets past them, does it?

Hillary may have to steal this nomination.

I'm counting on it. And she will subsequently lose, tossing her in with Kerry, Gore, Dukakis, and all the other Rats with "loser" next to their names...

Your rhetorical question, “Where would the kennedys be without rum runner Joe?” would be interesting to contemplate--literally. Where WOULD they be?

I’ll have to sleep on that.

Yes, Landslide Lyndon, winner by 87 votes in the 1948 primary, after a batch of 200 votes were suddenly discovered...remarkably, the voters had all voted in alphabetical order.

The anti-establishment underdog wrapping up yet another deep establishment endorsement. And, predictably, Freeper Obamaphiles are out to sing praises on Kennedy’s name as to how wise and wonderful he is to make this decision. Clue, people: Anyone Kennedy endorses is NOT SOMEONE WE WANT IN THE FRICKIN WHITE HOUSE.

It appears that old Papa Joe Kennedy, and probably other power brokers, had a grand plan for a Kennedy dynasty in this country starting with the eldest son and then progressing, rather digressing, down the line through all the boys until they got to lil’ Teddy, then on to grandchildren in their turn. (The best laid plans of mice and men and all that jazz, you know . .) The family seemed to be a business asset for them. Rose was quoted as having thought that sex was only for the purpose of procreation and nothing else. Weird if that’s what she really thought. Life can sure be reduced to its lowest common denominator until it’s fake as a three dollar bill, can’t it?

clintons want to think that they’re on the inside...but to the kennedys, clinton will always be the fat little ignorant b*stard from the wrong side of the tracks.

Who, no doubt, has been blackmailing them all with those FBI files.
