How old is you HP? I got it in the early 1990s ... it's the blued version with the adjustable "target" sights.
It faithfully has eaten every brass or nickel plated cartridge I have ever attempted to feed it, ranging from Chicom ball to various hollowpoints. It even does OK with Blazer (aluminum case). It just does not like those Wolf cases ... they stick in the magazine.

I guess people never go down range to change targets at your range, either.

then everyone stands behind the yellow line
before anyone goes down range.
how do you run your range?

XS>My only comment on those who stovepipe a Glock is they have limp wrists. Then there are quite a few limp-wristed gun afficionados here in NW Missouri!

Wolf doesn’t have a lacquer coating any more. Haven’t in several years actually.

Yep, that is where they all must have gone to, cuz that is sure a new one to me.

Of course, if those are expensive Cor-Bon rounds or the like, this gets expensive. I have good luck with controlling the slide until the bullet contacts the feed ramp, and then releasing it to chamber. Not advisable under every circumstance, but it works if you pay attention and assuming the gun will reliably chamber and lock up from that position. It usually works fine because you've already done most of the work to push the round out of the mag.
I also inspect my ammo and rotate it to the range periodically.

Then there are quite a few limp-wristed gun afficionados here in NW Missouri! I have it on good authority that otherwise perfect Glock firearms will not function properly in NW Missouri, something to do with the magntetic fields and the water.
Oddly they work fine everywhere else.

I've heard that the G36 was temperamental in feeding. I've have never had a problem with G21, G22, G23, G27 or G30.
