Gotta drop this post from a Liberal blogger, any truth to that?:

“This is what dems have got to get in their noggins. You’ll have McCain doing well with independents against Hillary, and you’ll have the farther right mobilized more out of a hate for Hillary than much of any love for McCain.

Not only do the dems have an alternative to this, they have a very good alternative to this.

Wake up!”

Now let's find out where McCain gets money and the inspired volunteers to help him through the end.

Well, let's see; there's Mel Martinez, Crist, Howard Baker.........oh and Rudy now.

Thank you, i forgot about that even though for 15 years as an Indep i could not vote for a candidate..I finally registered as a Rep.....

I also used to be against closed primaries..Now i can see why they are so necessary...to keep the Dem attack dogs out of our Rep primaries...grrr...

Please don’t try to pass on wonderful visions of a McCain future with a screen name like that.

I think Romney can use Martinez's and Crist's endorsements against McCain in the states that vote on Super Tuesday.

Capt. Queeg should look at this as a Pyhrric victory, don't you think?

"And I have yet to read anything from anyone here who supports McCain explaining WHY you support him."

-----

Oh, I have.

Here, my friend, are the Top Ten Reasons Freepers Give For Supporting Juan McStain:

1) He's a war hero.
2) He served in the military.
3) He was a POW.
4) He was a naval aviator.
5) He is a graduate of the Naval Academy (and 4 people graduated behind him).
6) He proudly wore the nation's uniform.
7) He was in the Vietnam war.
8) Two words: "Hanoi Hilton."
9) He was an officer in the U.S. Navy.
10) Patriotic Naval Officer who served in the U.S Navy during the Vietnam War as a naval aviator and was a heroic prisoner of war.

That's pretty much it.

Hank

So, you and the others who said that Romney and Giuliani are the two liberals, tell me this: Why will Giuliani endorse McCain and not Romney?

1. Fla has party registration. The Sec State posts the totals every month, by county and precinct. If you look at those stats, there was minimal change through end of Dec., which was the close of the books for the primary. The "exit polls" ASK people what they consider themselves. IF you look at the dem polls you will see some number who say they are Republicans, just like the exit polls for us.

2. It's definitely true that McCain won among the "less staunch" republicans by attitude, but they were all registered as GOP (I know that some guy somewhere was allowed to vote even though an independent, but I am quite sure that examination will reveal few and far between.) We have to face the fact that not all registered GOPs are as conservavie as we are -- or if we want only folks as conservative as we to call themselves republicans, we're going to have a much smaller party.

3. There was also a pretty important property tax proposition on the ballot, which brought out a lot of people. I know nothing about the merits, but from the voting pattern, it seems that the dem areas were the strongest pockets of opposition, but it got the 60% needed to pass.

The change is that now, in addition to showing ID, you have to show proof of citizenship (a passport, birth certificate, military ID, etc.)

I used to show my drivers license and it was no problem, but now I am getting a passport issued (although I’m not in a hurry about it — lately it hasn’t been a good time to go visit Mexico anyway.)

I agree with you. I think Obama has LESS of a chance of winning than Hillary so I’m pulling for Obama at this point. He’s worse than Hillary imo but has less of a chance of winning in the general.

I think the Clintons know what they’re doing and they, as well as the MSM, want McCain. McCain can’t win, imo. I see all this happiness online about Hillary getting trounced but we all know it’s going to be Hillary, imo. I’d much rather see Obama with the dem nom because I don’t think he has the support in the general. JMO after all.

Yes, we have to place our signature next to our name on a computer print out that lists all the registered voters in our district.

Discrepancies are handled by giving the person a provisional ballot which is verified before it is counted.
