It’s the nightmare scenario, a major city destroyed with no warning. What if it is Moscow, instead of NYC? Or what if it is both at the same time?

Serious stuff, and the major players (US/Russia/Who else) do need to discuss this at some high level in terms in initial response and communication.

I know that all the pisant governments of the world are aware of all the nuclear destruction under the seas in the form of our submarine force. Do they know something we don’t?

First strike has always been on the table but it is unusual for both Russia and NATO to both address this possbility in so publiclyu and pointedly.

I think they know something we don’t.

They could be thinking along the lines of an EMP strike to temporarily take down a large region and neutralize the command and control apparatus of a nuclear-armed terror gang or rogue state. A large stock of bio-weapons and their production facility might be another target. A nuclear strike would sterilize it in a single blow, and ultimately do less damage than a conventional effort that might only release the agents into the atmosphere.

This is a pantload.

The Russians are using terrorism as a political cover for using nukes as a first strike.

You can’t hit back at terrorists with a nuke, which is why its called ‘assymetrical warfare’.

Somebody prominent on our side better be calling BS on this, very publicly.
