McCain shows True Colors in California Debate.

John McCain’s performance in the California debate was at best a turn-off to conservative voters. At worst, McCain showed the world a glimpse of whom he really is. This should not be a comfort for those like Giuliani who are supporting him.

Arrogant, nasty, having to prove he was right even though everyone knew he was wrong, is this Presidential material? Anger below the surface, fidgeting and sneering throughout the debate are a part of who John McCain really is.

I think I have to agree with Tall Horse. I'm just surprised that someone said it.

As did Huckabee with all his ‘what about me!’ crying. More Britney Spears than presidential.

“Arrogant, nasty”

That’s how I described him too.
Unfortunately, I’d guess the majority of people voting for him didn’t even watch the debate.

Why anyone would want McCain to be president is beyond my understanding.

McNasty is one of those people whose arrogance doesn’t allow them to admit an error. He also is one of those that believes that if HE says it, it is so. I have never sat out an election, but this asshat could cause me to stay home.

Yes, he is arrogant and nasty ...and mean spirited.
He is so Clintonesque....and would probably feel more at home in the Democratic Party.

Like I mentioned before, he is the “Greg Stillson” in this running.

If McCain is the Republican nominee, we won’t have to wait for November for election results. It will be a foregone conclusion. In a presidential campaign, I believe he will very visibly and publicly “lose it” with dramatic emotional outbursts. Worse, if his name and candidacy are in any way associated with conservatism, then conservatism will be so thoroughly marginalized in the minds of the public that recovery will be long and difficult at best. And it really doesn’t matter what is true because main stream media outlets will describe this raving lunatic as a “conservative Republican” no matter what is true.

So, you expect to see McCain holding up a child in front of him when the assasination attempt happens?

How many CONSERVATIVE republicans are endorsing him? What’s the hullabaloo over Schwartzy and Rudy? They are not conservatives. Rush is a conservative. Glenn Beck is a conservative.

Great book and you are right on the money. McCain has reminded me of the Stillson character in that book for years!

Apparently Tall Horse watched the same debate I did. All I saw all night was McCain’s smug, nasty smile. I totally despised the man by the time the debate was over.
It reminded me of how much I hated him from the amnesty fiasco.

McCain is the darling of the media right now, so they will not show his arrogance during the sound bites of the debates, but when the conventions are over and the MSM approved candidates have been coronated, watch out. The MSM will attack him with the tenacity of a rabid pit bull.
