What stood out to me the most in last night’s debate was the utter contempt McCain showed for business owners.

The more I saw of him last night, the more I didn’t want to see him as president for the next 4 yrs.

He is so Clintonesque....and would probably feel more at home in the Democratic Party.

He gave it strong consideration at one point but Vermont's 'Jumpin' Jim beat him to it.

Well I wish he would have jumped over then..I would rather have people see him as a democrat and not a RINO.

HUCKABEE ROCKS IN DEBATES!!!!!

“...But he [Huckabee] is an excellent debater with a terrific sense of humor who hit his stride, especially in the debates, just as activists and party opinion leaders were starting to pay close attention before the Iowa caucuses. Running on a frayed shoestring and with a staff so small it would fit comfortably into a minivan, Mr. Huckabee used his moments to strongly impress voters....”

Arrogant, nasty, having to prove he was right even though everyone knew he was wrong, is this Presidential material? Anger below the surface, fidgeting and sneering throughout the debate are a part of who John McCain really is.

Funny....you could sub Hillary's name in there and it's just as accurate.

A war heroic aside, John McCain is not the end all to military issues. His unbending, snarly, angry disposition should make voters leery of having this man in total charge of our country

Why is he a "war hero"?

A hero is someone who deliberately steps into harms way for the benefit of others. McCain screwed up. Lost a multimillion dollar airplane and was put in a POW prison. I feel sorry that he was captured, injured and held against his will, but that does not make him a "Hero". Think firefighter in a burning building to rescue a child. That is a voluntary action.Ergo;Hero.

Unfortunately, I’d guess the majority of people voting for him didn’t even watch the debate.

Well Duh!!! American Idol was on!!!

Yes, his contempt in a number of areas came thru. I really thought when he went of on his “buzz word” attack, he was going to start talking about the strawberries.

Really wish Mitt had offered a stronger response, such as “Of course, in Washington, buzz words tend to substitute for a full examination of policies, and careful thinking.
It is neither an honest disagreement nor an intelligent one, and solves nothing except the need for sound bites.”

McCain really looked awful, and worse than awful, a bit stupid. (he let his arrogance show)

He made me sick last night. He reminds me of Hillary, only he can’t hide how he really is for a second. Once in a while, she can.

He looked like a little punk in detention playing with his pencil and I wanted someone to get up and slap his arrogant, smirking, hateful face clean off his lying head.
I kept picturing assorted reptiles whenever I saw him.

If he winds up being president, I might just have to lie and tell everyone I’m a democrat so I won’t have to hang my head in shame.

I loathe these media-run debates, but I had to give Anderson Cooper some credit for reading Mitt’s quote in its entirity and thoroughly exposing McCain for the liar he really is. I am also doubting if that was AC’s intention.
He might have had other motives and it just happened to turn out that way.

Looking at John McCain, you can’t really blame some dems in their seemingly irrational hatred of us pubbies. If all you had to go by was him, that attitude is wholly justified.

Strange in these times of cameras everywhere that the Presidential race this time will come down to two such nasty and unappealing creatures as John McCain and Hillary Clinton. What if they hold an election and nobody shows up?

How would you like to be a head of state somewhere and be contemplating sitting across the table from McCain or Hillary? Yikes...

McCain acted arrogant beyond belief during last night's debate. He sat there grinning, sneering and laughing. He actually gave the impression that he had already been "crowned" the new dictator, ....
