It isn’t all that complicated. Children born to parents who are members of hostile, invading or occupying armies are automatically excluded from birthright citizenship by legislation, not constitutional amendment. Accordingly, legislation is all which is needed to exclude anchor babies from automatic citizenship.

But his pro-life so nothing else he does or says matters. Didn’t you get the memo?

Open borders out the wazoo. And yet, so many evangelicals are duped by this A-hole.

Muckabee would go right along with McCain on the amnesty for illegals legislation and leaving the borders open. But before they acted on that, they would firs make sure their Fairness Doctrine was in place!

Its hard to pin Huckabee down on anything.

He is the most adroit and well-spoken poltician I have heard since George Wallace.

The media would have a very hard time trying to nail him and so would the Dems.

They also asked John McLame about the McCain-Kennedy Illegal Amnesty Bill - SEVERAL TIMES.

And he was brusque, rude, supercilious and arrogant. He refused to answer the question and he was not as suave or adroit as Huckabee.

John McCain is a ticking political time bomb. He will never beat Hillery or Obama.

From June, 2005.

“During the legislation session, Huckabee criticized an immigration bill by Republican senators Jim Holt of Springdale and Denny Altes of Fort Smith as un-Christian, un-American, irresponsible and anti-life.

Senate Bill 206, which died in the Senate, would have required proof of citizenship to register to vote and also force state agencies to report suspected cases of people living in the country illegally. Holt, R-Springdale, replied later to Huckabee’s comments that Christian charity does not include turning a blind eye to lawbreaking.

The Republican governor, who many believe will run for president in 2008, also backed legislation that would have opened the door for illegal immigrants in Arkansas to receive college scholarships.

House Bill 1525 by Rep. Joyce Elliott, D-Little Rock, was approved by the House but eventually failed in the Senate. Huckabee reiterated Wednesday that he believes every child, regardless of their parent’s immigration status, should have an opportunity to receive an education in the U.S.”

I expect some of the same freepers arguing that John McCain’s birth in Panama is not an issue under the Constitution, due to his parents both being Americans, will make the argument that a child born here of Mexican parents is automatically an American citizen under the Constitution.
