Psalm 118:24
This is the day which the Lord hath made;
We will rejoice and be glad in it.
Because this is the day that You have made, may we use it to grow in our love and service to You. Though we sometimes run from You, we pray that You would help us to stop, turn around, and face You, Lord. For where can we go to hide from You? Where can we flee from Your presence? You are far too great for even the entire earth to contain You. If we sleep, You are there; if we awaken, Your presence remains. How grateful we are, Father, that You who fill the entire universe, the heavens, and the depths, are greater than any problem we can ever face. You ease the pain of any loss. And so we praise You for Your goodness, and for Your wonderful works to the children of men. For You satisfy our longing souls, and You fill our hungry souls with goodness.
Father, though the wicked have attempted to ensnare for our President and Vice-President, yet we confess that You are their Defense. You are their Keeper---the Shade upon their right hands. Nothing shall harm them by day or by night for You preserve them from all evil. You preserve their going out and their coming in for evermore. We confess that nothing shall keep them from fulfilling the purposes You have for their lives. We are confident that You will accomplish everything that concerns them and that Your mercy shall prevail over them, for You never forsake the works of Your own hands.
May our military men and women speak of Your greatness to a world that is easily offended. May they be strong in You and do the work You have set before them, and may they accomplish their missions with integrity and persistence. Reward them, Lord, for they are willing to risk their own lives for people even of their own nation who denounce and hate them.
Grant us an extra measure of Your grace during these trying times, Father. Help us to speak and move in the Spirit so that we do not fulfill the desires of the flesh. We can do so because we are branches of the Vine, and You supply us with all that we need to bear much fruit. Help us to keep our eyes focused on You rather than upon the seas that surround us. Accept our humble prayers in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
I’m very sorry for your loss. She is in the Lords arms now. May god bless you and your family.

READ: Matthew 23:1-12
Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7
Dog shows on TV can be entertaining. The dog owners are impeccably dressed and trot along with their pedigreed pooches as they show off their unique canine beauty. The dogs have been trained to stand confidently with chins lifted high, their shiny coats carefully brushed and styled. To me, they all look like winners.
But I wonder sometimes, when their audience is gone, what are these dogs really like? Do they ever relax and let their sleek fur get so matted theyre mistaken for mutts? Does their doggie breath start smelling foul?
More important, what are we really like when nobodys watching? In Matthew 23:2-7, Jesus rebuked those who were interested in how they looked in public rather than how they were seen by God. He wants us to be obedient, faithful, and committed to Himeven when nobody else sees. The Pharisees focused on the way they were perceived by other people. Gods focus is on what were like inside. His desire is for us to look like His Son.
Were not in a competition with other Christians. God will never ask us to compete for best in show. He measures us by the perfect standard of His Son (Eph. 4:13). And in love, He provides the righteousness we need so that we can be blameless before Him (Col. 1:21-23).
My Mother died on my Birthday 11 years ago. The only way I was able to accept that is with my Faith in Jesus Christ, I look at it as sharing our Birthdays, mine into this world for a time and my Mothers Birth into the arms of our Loving Savior Jesus Christ.
I have used this as a message to many people that have lost loved ones and friends. My family, brothers and sisters are still dealing with her loss emotionally. Every time I talk to them I stress this with them.
God Bless you Faith, you are in my thoughts and Prayers as you go through this time of sorrow in your life.
I’m so sorry to hear about your mother’s passing. God bless and comfort you and your family in your time of grief. Death, for a Christian, is a passage to eternal life with our Lord. You will be joyfully reunited again someday with your beloved mother, it sounds like she was a wonderful woman. My mother’s birthday is tomorrow, and I will give her an extra hug in honor of your mother.
Thank you for reminding us to cherish our loved ones while they are here with us.
My deepest condolensces, Faith.
Praying in agreement with you, Faith. Amen.
I am sorry about your mother passing. It is indeed a great blessing to have our parents with us. I am blessed every day because my mom lives with me. I will hug her for you, Faith.
May the Lord comfort you and give you His peace; may He bless you with His shining countenance.
Praying for President Bush and his family...
Also, praying for you and yours, Faith. My mother passed away over 10 years ago, but I can still remember how much it hurts inside. My deepest sympathies to you...
Sincerely,
LR
That’s a perfect and beautiful analogy about your birthday and your mother’s homecoming to Heaven, Mayor. :)
I agree with your wonderful prayer in Jesus Name, Amen.
Thank you, Dear Faith for thinking of others in your time of grief. My deepest condolences for the loss of your Precious Mom. You and your family will be in my prayers. May the Lord bless and comfort you.
Thank you.
Faith,
I am so terribly sorry about your losing your mom. I know what it is like and you will have wonderful memories to share with family and friends. That is what we do about my own Christian mom. May God bless you during this time and in the months and years to follow.
Amen, and may your mother rest in peace. Condolences to you and your family.
I’m sorry for your Mother’s passing, Faith.
All Christians will meet again in His glory and
the heavenly mansions He has prepared for us.
God bless our President, George W. Bush.
Her memory will be in your heart until you meet her again.
Gos bless my dad, but, my mom is who made me who I am. She was small, but, had a huge heart. She was not educated, but wise. She was not rich, but gave everything she had for others. She was not a stranger to anyone.
Love knows no boundaries. Your mother will be there when you need her, just as Christ is.
Her test is over. May God, and you, only remember the good things, even the silly things, that bring back her memory. May she rest easily on all she touched.
