It is funny that he is unaware that he is in the midst of the biggest crater the Republicans have ever seen.

McCain has many shortcomings, one of which is stupidity.

Anyone that votes for someone because “they are electable” is too stupid to be voting.

Excuse me Mr. President, can I tag along?  Sure John, we need everyone we can get.

Statesman wanna-be John McCain speaks...

When it comes to Reaganism, I was right there leading the way...
...well, I was a foot soldier in that battle.

I don't share John McCain's goals for this nation.  Do you?

We need to make those tax cuts we helped push through permanent!

Yes John, whatever you say, but you fought them in the first place.

It's too bad there isn't a twelve step program for politicians like John McCain

I know one thing to be certain.  The White House is no place for his recovery.

Electability according to the MSM means he's toast. Of course.

McCain doesn't look strong enough to stand up to the months of campaigning much less 4 to 8 years of the presidency. But people think he's electable?

This shows how dumbed down the GOP electorate has become. Back in 1980, the media flooded us with polls showing that George Bush was “the only candidate who could beat Jimmy Carter”. GOP voters saw right through the scam and voted for Reagan. Today, they’re falling for that very same trick and voting for McCain. We’ve been dumbed down.

First, he's going to be the greatest thing since sliced bread. Then, there will be an expose of former POW's who mount a Swift Boat campaign against him and annihilate his "hero" status. Then there will exposes about his temper, leading to questions about his emotional instability and "ability to lead on Day One." Then, in the tradition of fighting "racism" and "gender", they will bring up his age--and "ageism" will be the new code word for his inability to be a competent President.

You may have missed the biggest one of all...expose's of his first wife's life after her accident and the fact that McCain left her, with scenes of her limping now from place to place in her everyday life. McCain is toast as soon as the MSM gets word to cut him down.

Is this from the “Onion”?

Reuters.

The Onion intentionally does parodies. Reuters gave up honest journalism a few years back, so while it seems they are making up parodies, it's because they intentionally publish false and misleading stories, as evidenced by all the propaganda stories and pictures from the Mid East they unvaryingly publish.

Agreed. By now it should be quite apparent to everyone that it cannot be mere ignorance.

I’ve wondered about their silence about her accident, his pursuit of the second wife, the second wife’s drug addiction, etc. However, the first wife has said nothing and I wonder if they start investigating that marriage if she, as a private citizen, can sue the media for harassment or invasion of privacy. The situation was similar with Kerry and the problems with that marriage were not touched—however, Kerry had “D” after his name....

Most of my relatives, neighbors and others I know are liberal Democrats. Almost all of them criticize Bush. But surprisingly most of them don’t like the Clintons. Barack Obama has a career with literally no achievements or accomplishments. He is clearly not qualified to be president. Yet, almost half the Democrats support him because they don’t like the Clintons. Also, most liberal women don’t like Hillary despite all the media propaganda that she will be the first woman president and women should support her. I don’t think the Republicans need to nominate McCain to beat the Clintons.

McCain is not electable. If nominated, he will lose. He will not have support from conservatives. He can’t win with liberals/moderates alone.

I think the DemocRATS will nominate Obama, based primarily on their emotions.

ROFL! That was the same argument the Democrats made for John F*ckin' Kerry! He's electable so get behind him! The Dems did like mindless sheep. Ask them if they heard of President Kerry.

Electability is how John Kerry got the nomination in 2004.
