McCain's phone call to voters today, three days before the California Primary

Here is the message I heard this afternoon.

Hi, this is Senator John McCain. I'm calling today to personally ask for your vote and make a pledge to you. As your president, I promise to lead our nation and our party as a Ronald Reagan conservative. I'll lower your taxes, veto wasteful government spending, and ensure our party returns to the smaller government principles on which it began.

I'll secure our border first before pursuing any other immigration reform. I'll appoint conservative judges like justices Alito and Roberts. I will protect the sanctity of life; I have a 24-year record to prove it.

This is my commitment to you. As you go to the polls, consider our greatest challenge as a nation is to defeat a relentless enemy - the radical Islamist extremists. My life experiences prepared me better than any other candidate to defeat this enemy. We can and will win this war.

Again, this is John McCain and I humbly ask you to vote for me.

I got a call from his campaign today (they didn’t identify themselves first) asking who my 1st, 2nd, 3rd choice for president was...when I didn’t mention McCain, they got all flabbergasted.

If anyone thinks I am defending John McCain here, they are wrong. I do not want him in the White House. I do not want him in the Senate.

Hillary Clinton, however, is different than anyone we have ever seen. She has done all the things they accused Nixon of doing. Does anyone remember that she tried to fix the impeachment protocols and keep Nixon from having legal counsel? She will not serve this country; she will RULE this country.

Stroke of the pen; law of the land. Cool.

While I was in recently in DC, a friend from Ohio told me that he was covering an event at an auto plant a few years ago. Hillary sat directly in front of him. Without me even coaching it, he told me the same thing Dave Schippers told me. He felt something demonic. The late Catholic exorcist, Malachi Martin, had also said the same thing. I do not say it lightly when I say that she is a threat to this republic. We can fight McCain. We will not have any weapons against her.

Then work to get Obama the nomination. I consider McCain and Hillary to be equally dangerous to the future of this country. And McCain, Hillary, and Obama will pass amnesty, which will sound the death knell for this country.

I am in disbelief that some here could live through something like the sale of missile technology to China and allow those people to get back into the White House. Dave Schippers knows more about their crimes than perhaps anyone. He told me that, after he was called upon by Henry Hyde, he thought he would wrap up his work in a couple weeks. He was astounded with the criminality he discovered. Dave said it best when he said she was EVIL INCARNATE.

Yes, we will. That’s the point. During the attempt at shoving amnesty down our throats, what did we do? We got very angry and very active and made a difference. Does anyone believe she will not shut down talk radio and censor the internet? When she consolidates her power, we will have no weapons left with which to fight her. FreeRepublic will be a hate site. She will determine that with the stroke of a pen.

Last week I got two prerecorded calls in one night from the Ron Paul campaign. The second call was disguised as a poll. I expect that I’ll be getting many more calls over the next couple of days. It makes me wonder, have these calls actually changed anyone’s mind, ever?
