McCain's phone call to voters today, three days before the California Primary
McCain ^ | 2-2-08 | McCain

Posted on 02/02/2008 9:20:45 PM PST by doug from upland

Here is the message I heard this afternoon.

Hi, this is Senator John McCain. I'm calling today to personally ask for your vote and make a pledge to you. As your president, I promise to lead our nation and our party as a Ronald Reagan conservative. I'll lower your taxes, veto wasteful government spending, and ensure our party returns to the smaller government principles on which it began.

I'll secure our border first before pursuing any other immigration reform. I'll appoint conservative judges like justices Alito and Roberts. I will protect the sanctity of life; I have a 24-year record to prove it.

This is my commitment to you. As you go to the polls, consider our greatest challenge as a nation is to defeat a relentless enemy - the radical Islamist extremists. My life experiences prepared me better than any other candidate to defeat this enemy. We can and will win this war.

Again, this is John McCain and I humbly ask you to vote for me.

Paid for by John McCain 2008

At least you got the real voice... my robo McCain call here in MO, a few minutes ago, was some gal which did not identify which campaign she was calling for at the beginning, asking three questions.

1. Who would I vote for Tuesday

2. Who was my second choice

3. What issue was most important.... economy, Iraq, immigration (I pushed 3 at this point)

The gal then says this call was paid for by the McCain camp and yet there was NO McCain voice saying I approve this call.

Is Romney calling as well?

So far, no, but then no one should be calling since it is a business line. My home phone is unlisted, so no one should be calling it either.

It is a personal irritation to me when solicitors make calls to a business line. That irritation is multiplied a hundredfold when the solicitor leaves egregious untruths on my answering machine as McCain did.

Romney will be here tomorrow. McCain and Huckabee were here yesterday. At this point, Georgia is a tossup. It could go either way between these three. I did what I could last night at a McCain rally to disuade voters from supporting him.

I just got another robo-call from Bill Simon endorsing John McCain.

I know that no campaigns were allowed to buy time during the Super Bowl. Is this how it's going to be during the game?

Hi, this is Senator John McCain. I'm calling today to personally ask for your vote True

As your president, I promise to lead our nation and our party as a Ronald Reagan conservative. LIE

I'll lower your taxes, LIE

veto wasteful government spending, LIE

and ensure our party returns to the smaller government principles on which it began. LIE

I'll secure our border first before pursuing any other immigration reform. LIE

I'll appoint conservative judges like justices Alito and Roberts. Only If Ted Kennedy says they're ok

I will protect the sanctity of life; Provided they don't create any CO2 emissions

I have a 24-year record to prove it. To prove he is lying his ass off and thinks we're too stupid to remember it.

This is my commitment to you. As you go to the polls, consider our greatest challenge as a nation is to defeat a relentless enemy - the radical Islamist extremists. Wrong! Our greatest challenge as a nation is to defeat a relentless enemy - the marxist-leninist Democrat Party and their fellow travelers in the media.

My life experiences prepared me better than any other candidate to defeat this enemy. Wrong! You want to be loved by this enemy and kowtow to them every chance you get.

We can and will win this war. TRUE! But not with McJudas in charge.

Did McCain bring back Joe Isuzu to do his voiceovers?

If some people misunderstand, I do not what McCain as either the president or a senator. But I would vote for Richard Nixon in his present condition instead of Hillary. She has to be stopped.

Really?!?

I could have sworn that I heard reports that there would be no ads to campaigns because they couldn't guarantee equal time to all candidates (because of the high price), and that it was already sold out.

Unless Obama bought time on local cable providers, which are allotted time during the day. I know that he claimed that he didn't violate the "No Campaigning" pledge for Florida when his ads ran there, because he bought cable ads and had no control over when/where they would run.

Which is why I'm seriously thinking of crossing over and voting for Obama in the primaries. Stopping Hillary is a critical objective but, in reality, if it comes down to McCain vs. Hillary, we're screwed either way.

Obama’s Super Bowl Ad Buy
In an eye-popping ad buy, Barack Obama’s campaign will air a new spot in 24 states tonight during the Super Bowl, which is traditionally the most expensive time to advertise.

The spot will be seen in states holding a Dem primary or caucus on Feb. 5th, 9th, 10th and 12th. Obama, in is a short appeal, tells voters/sports fans that “the world as it is is not the world as it should be.”

The buy reflects the considerable financial strength the campaign has entering Super Tuesday. The campaign raised $32 million dollars in January alone.

We will have some influence to keep putting pressure on Hillary. When she shuts down talk radio and FR, our voices will be heard. We will be in re-education camp.

“I just got another robo-call from Bill Simon endorsing John McCain.”

We received the same call. My husband got real mad but there’s no one to yell at because it was a recording. They are looking for appointments and jobs. Bill Simon is no exception. I hope they are all embarrassed Tuesday and left high and dry.

The Fresno Bee is predicting McCain victories - as are all media outlets, I guess. But I still believe in miracles and I still think there are enough Republicans left to stop the McCain trainwreck

Go, Mitt!!

The funny thing is, the answering machine's message cuts off the first 20 seconds of the call. By the time the machine beeps, I missed half the message!

I think Michael Reagan’s “McCain Hates Me” article sums everything about McCain and Ronald Reagan.

I don’t believe McCain has any respect or regards for the Reagan revolution. He just wants to use the glow for himself.

(McCain) is old. I would like to know who he plans for a VP.

I keep having a premonition that McCain could win, but he will have a severe physical problem or breakdown before the Convention or before the November general election.

In that case, would (Romney) automatically take over, or would there be another voting process?

I think it is 100% hysterical.

Generally a bad candidate keeps republicans home.

McCain acutally inspires such disguste that he causes republicans to vote for the OTHER person out of pure revulsion.

Imagine the kind of disgust a person must inspire in order to have someone vote for a degenerate like a Hillary Clinton!
