The Las Vegas Review Journal version omitted any description of the would-be rapists as well. The commenters on that site were complaining about this omission and then one linked to another site which included the following: Police said the victims were forced to the ground by two black men who were armed with shotguns.

Why am I not shocked.

I would not lump most street patrol cops in with the politically motivated chiefs and PC hired PR flacks.

I promise the street cops who responded were giving major kudos to these defenders, and expressed regret that both perps were not killed on the scene.

If you watch the video at the link, you will see that the witness who talks to the reporter-—facing away while wearing a hood to conceal his ID——is caucasian. He shows some fight wounds on his hand, and it’s a white hand.

In another story about this, the attackers are ID’d as being black.

It is one thing to sell this “don’t resist” advice to bank tellers, but in an armed home invasion THE ONLY THING TO DO IS FIGHT BACK!
You must be smart about how and when you fight back, such as waiting for the best opportunity.

I attribute that quote to some affirmative action hire police dept. PR flack, not a street cop.

"The men were pinned to the floor with shotguns." -- No sense trying to parse that. Ten penny nails or gutter spikes work better. Sort of ruins the shotgun to be hammered into the floor like a spike.

"The victim told Eyewitness News" -- These good citizens were not "victims"! Hooray for them!

One of the suspects pulling his pants down so as to rape the women. Then ...

• One fellow grabbed a bad guy, threw him down, smashed him in the head with a weight from the weight set.
• A woman grabbed a frying pan and whacked the suspects with it.
• One woman grabbed a gun and shoot a bad guy in the chest area and in the leg.

The police generally don't prevent these messes. They are the cleanup crew
And yes the more rape murder and mayhem not prevented by armed citizens, the more money for the police

There are several very good videos on other local TV stations at the links. On one the female shooter said that she had the second perp dead to rights, aiming the shotgun at him, and he begged for his life. Even after all she had been through, she said she just couldn’t shoot him, and he ran away.
