Yawn!!!!

I know it’s real early, but I’ve got to catch a flight to Seattle this morning (business trip), so we’re leaving in just a few minutes.

Phsstpok is still on emergency leave due to his Father’s illness, please pray!

Thanks, AB & Good Morning to EveryOne! Prayers to Phsstpok's family!

Amazingly, There is MO-MITT-UM! -> Romney Wins In Maine.

Romney won 53% of the vote in today's caucuses, despite both U.S. Senators Snowe and Collins supporting McCain, who tallied only 21% of the votes. Every statewide elected official was with McCain, and Sens. Snowe and Collins spoke at caucuses on Maine's behalf. The Romney campaign's star campaigner in the state was eldest son Tagg.

Looks like I’ll be skipping FNC and FTN yet again today.

The only bright spot I can see in a McCain presidency is that he woudn’t be on the Sunday shows anymore. Or at least I don’t think so.

... despite both U.S. Senators Snowe and Collins supporting McCain

Or, maybe McCain took a drubbing partly because of those endorsements.

TradeSports is selling a dollar for less than 8 cents, on the outcome that Romney will be the GOP nominee. If it wasn't a federal offense to do online betting (Online Gambling Prohibition Act, embedded in [Sea]Port Security Improvement Act), I'd take that bet.

Good morning, all...

...word of note: Fox is going to be running a special edition of FNS this morning, “Fox Super Sunday.” It will be on at 9 AM ET regardless of time zone... so if it normally airs at 10 or 11 where you are, and you tune in to see Shepard Smith’s face, that’s why. Shep will be hosting the second two hours.

Well, well, well... what do you know? The once reclusive Hillary Clinton is now all over the talk show lineup again, even on Fox =:-O. I guess she’s feeling more comfortable in front of the camera, or at least the shows are running out of talking heads. I’m sure the DNC is thrilled about her showing up for an interview with the “evil” Fox News that did that “hatchet job” on her husband Bill. (there’s some sarcasm there) It’s not like they’ll do anything about it, though— heck, they still won’t reprimand her for campaigning in Florida against party rules.

Also surprising this week is the fact that Huckabee has been relegated to Late Edition.

I see Meet the Press has another meeting of the Royal Council of Grand Poobahs this week, with America’s favorite husband-and-wife political rivals and Bob “0-for-9” Shrum. Maybe if Bob joins the campaign of the Democratic nominee this won’t be quite a hopeless case after all.

Ratings coming up.

Oh no, we can't have McCain and lose you, too. That really would be the last straw. Say it isn't so.

SUNDAY TALK SHOW RATINGS ANALYSIS

Weekend of January 27, 2008
NBC MEET THE PRESS.... 4,905,000 (32%) (- 291,000)
CBS FACE THE NATION... 2,975,000 (19%) (- 37,000)
ABC THIS WEEK......... 3,312,000 (21%) (+ 336,000)
FOX NEWS SUNDAY....... 3,504,000 (23%) (+1,319,000)
CNN LATE EDITION...... 873,000 ( 6%) (+ 248,000)
Fox jumps to second! That's the big news out of this week's ratings. Buoyed by two back-to-back replays of Fox News Sunday on Fox News Channel last week (instead of the usual one), both with strong numbers, Fox News Sunday propelled past CBS and ABC to take second place in the talk show ratings this week for the first time since I've monitored the ratings.

Please note: This week is the beginning of the "February sweeps" month, which means Nielsen will likely release some more detailed information on TV ratings at the end of the month.

Data derived from Nielsen Media Research data from a collection of publicly available sources. All data (c)2008 Nielsen Media Research, no ownership implied. Data includes information from cable replays.

McCain gets top billing again, just like he did before FL. Two shows today versus Romney’s one. Hillary is also given the preferred position.

There is still time to STOP McCain and his long list of NEGATIVES:
Poking Bush & Conservatives in the eye for his own benefit.
Calling those opposing his so called ‘immigration reform’ plan “racist”.
Ignorant Energy policy and belief in Global Warming,
Continually conceding to liberal criticism of conservative policies by accepting bumper sticker logic.
No depth of understanding on critical issues.
‘Gang of 14’ giving up on prohibiting filibuster of Judicial nominees.
He DOES NOT believe in Judicial restraint.
Handcuffing the military in the execution of their duties.
Naïve foreign policy objectives.
Lack of support for Israel.
Support for Embryonic Stem Cell research, when the scientific evidence is clear that no positive medical benefit is possible.

And one other thing, BTW...

Anybody else find it fitting that Mardi Gras, the last day of sin, vice and indulgence before Lent, and Super Tuesday both fall on the exact same day this year?

I noticed that Fox had added another time slot for the Wallace show. It was a good move on their part. That way they can push McCain even harder. However, Fox and Friends had someone on this AM and they claimed Romney was either ahead or catching up to McCain in CA.

The only way to boost Romney is for Huckabee to drop out and endorse Mitt immediately!
