If John McCain rolls on Super Tuesday then it is time for all Freepers living in remaining primary states to cross-over in your respective primaries and vote for Obama on the dem ballot. It's our best opportunity to stop her because she will crush McCain in November.
I agree with you. I think McCain already knows that he MUST select a conservative partner for his ticket if he is to even have a ghost of a chance in November.
McQueeg cannot be considered a potential tragic figure because he is irredeemably corrupt to start. The situation itself might be comic if the potential result weren't so dire.
However, I can find nothing comic at all in the possible advent of either one of two Marxists or a corrupt near-psychotic to the White House.
It may seem that way because McCain, Huckabee, and Romney are all so disappointingly liberal, but the fact is that Hillary consistently out-libs them all by a country mile.
This might turn into our own John Kerry year.
If Obama gets the Dem nod, Hilliary will not want him to win cause then she will have to wait 8 years instead of 4
Of course if she is his VP and they win, she will be President in 2 years and one day, and will be eligible to rule for 9 years and 364 days.
So I don’t think the Clinton Machine would get behind Obama and give him all their “favors” (read supporters that fear death by Arkancide) and millions of illegal votes.
Huh? Are you arguing Obama would lose to McCain. Obama is the best hope for the Democrats, though Hillary will ALSO beat McCain.
HYSTERICAL LAUGHTER.....I hear your pain man...I hear you!
I agree with you. If Obama wins the nomination Team Clinton will do the dirty work for the GOP in trashing Obama and assuring his defeat.
They are vicious, nasty, vindictive and without remorse. They will gladly trash Obama and the Dem party for their own selfish ends.
That being said, IF McCain wraps it up this week and your state has an upcoming primary, cross-over and vote for Obama. It’ll do your party and your country good!
Fair.. however, I was in the mindset of my post 71 when I responded to you... I did make a large assumption that everyone understood that Obama is a very dangerous man based on his comments about foreign policy, Iraq and the GWOT..
In 1972, I voted for McGovern, on the grounds that a fool would do less damage to the Republic than a crook. This time, that choice isn't available: postulating a McQueeg nomination, we'll have the choice of a near-psychotic crook vs either a Marxist fool or a near-psychotic crook vs a crooked Marxist fool.
Some choice. Well, there might be an upside. After a 2008 debacle, 'Pubbies **might** get sensible and declare open season on RINOs.
I'm not holding my breath.
Good picture of McGore
"Come on at least give yourselves a chance! A black Muslim and a complete bitch!?" quote from liberal friend living in Seattle wanting to vote Dem but can't.
"Well I guess I will vote for McCain now." quote from Dem friend here in Texas responding to my question asking him what he will do now that Edwards is out.
baaaaah .... baaahhhh ... bahhhhh
I hate what the Republican party has become.
baaaahhhhh ....
Okay, fair enough. But keep in mind, they are all dangerous panderers:
Hitlery is pandering to the open borders crowd, as does McLame. Both very dangerous in their views. Romney is just plain pandering and in the eyes of some, his pandering is dangerous. All politicians pander and all pandering is considered dangerous in someones eyes.
Thank you for your reasoned and kind post. I appreciate that.
What you wrote is exactly how I felt at the prospect of Giuliani’s being nominated. I would never have voted for him. However, if McCain is nominated, I feel morally compelled to vote for him because on account of the abortion issue. McCain may have no fire in his belly for the pro-life cause, but he’d vertainly appoint better judges than HRC or Obama would. In any case, I’m not giving up on Romney. As a California voter, I’m offended that I’m supposed to accept McCain is the nominee...when I haven’t even had the chance to vote for Romney yet!
I know exactly what you said. It is a waste of time speculating now. Now is the time to FOCUS on what is at hand. Getting the nomination for Romney.
Forget it.
I don’t have a party, they both have left me.
I sure hope the GOP can be saved, but it doesn't look good.
The Asian Wildlife has taken over.
