If McCain Rolls it's Time to Cross-Over for Obama
Vanity | February 3, 2008 | Buckeye Battle Cry

If John McCain rolls on Super Tuesday then it is time for all Freepers living in remaining primary states to cross-over in your respective primaries and vote for Obama on the dem ballot. It's our best opportunity to stop her because she will crush McCain in November.

“Huckabee may act like a goober but he is one of the most honest guys out there.”

Will he take the pledge to stop asking for wedding gifts?

“Fred Barnes just wrote a damn good piece”

That phrase is an oxymoron.
Fred Barnes is minus the oxy.

“Vote for who the media hates not who they endorse.”

Good advice.

Don’t trust anything that has to do with Clinton, Inc. They and their buddies could be pushing that ‘unfavorable’ info just to catch us off-guard.

“take some comfort that John McCain is likely a one term President.”

Yes, but his successor will be a Rat. That’s cold comfort.

I do. If for no other reason than to put Clinton, Inc. out of business.

Hillary may be the most conservative candidate running.

Of those left in the race, could very well be so.

That's a plan but there might be a better one. It involves keeping McCain or Romney from getting a majority which they will need to qualify for a first vote nomination.

If there is no clear majority and neither qualify, then the electors are free to change their votes for any candidate they want.

It's entirely possible that there is a mandate for Fred just under the surface of all these primaries but it isn't happening because the red states haven't had a voice as yet.

But now is the time to insure that neither Romney nor McCain can get the majority they need on Tuesday. That can best be done by voting for Huckabee who is still in the numbers. That will take votes away from both Romney and McCain and practically guarantee the need for a second vote.

On the second vote, the mandate for Fred can then be heard. Let's not forget the FR polls which showed a runaway majority for Fred on every poll posted here. That should be an indication of a national trend.

And yes, there is no question that Fred can beat both Hillary and Obama. Those votes are already in the bank in Fred's account.

Let's not waste them. Vote for Huckabee in the primaries and set up the conditions for this to happen. It's a gamble, for sure, but if it's not done a liberal Republican or a Democrat will win in the general and the election is over right now except for the academic exercise of going through the election process -- and the shouting.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong here. Is it not possible? It really surprises me that so many here are ready to capitulate and hand over the government to those we absolutely know have been in the process of destroying it.

Liberalism is a mental dis-order. Let's not hand the future of our country over to a whacko.

(This is how I understand it. If I'm wrong, post corrections where needed -- or post a better idea. Thanks.)

looking for a consistent conservative candidate may take some comfort that John McCain is likely a one term President.

There is none in the running and there is no comfort in 'what if's'. Stop the focus on McCain and place it where it can do some good - vote Mitt. There is no perfect candidate but we don't live in a perfect world. We should do our best w/what's been dealt. The media dealt McCain - I'll up them w/Mitt.

They are not pushing that unfavorable at all. In fact, they have been avoiding it for months now. The fact that the media could not go ahead with her coronation and that Obama is giving her a run for her money only proves the point that people dont like her. She fully did not expect to have anyone challenging her for the nomination.

I just can not embrace the “we need to be in a totalitarian socialist state so we can wake up and climb out of it” argument. How many socialist slaves are waking up and climbing out in other countries? Once you are enslaved, it’s almost impossible to get out.

I can’t BELIEVE anyone is considering supporting Hilary or Obama. Talk about McInsane! He looks calm and rational compared to some of these posts!

Totally out of the realm of possibility. Right now the fight is between Romney and McCain. To believe anything else is delusional

Let Hitlery into the White House, and it’s even money that there won’t BE an election in 2012.

You are joking, right?

Hillary Clinton isn't the anti-Christ.

Bull crap! It's delusional to put a whacko in office when there is still a window of opportunity for a conservative to win. I can't understand why anyone can't see that. I think I explained it simply enough.

No, but she's cut from the same cloth as Nixon, and not a doubt of it. Unrepentantly corrupt, ambition without end, no observable ethical code, and a lust for power that simply won't quit.

If (G-d forbid) Hitlery wins, she'll have a try at suspending the next election. Stay tuned (ideally, we won't have to, but if she wins...) Look for a Reichstag-fire type of event to kick off her campaign to suspend elections. Say, perhaps, a nuke popping in Cleveland (some non-NY city at any rate).
