“The average Georgian would rather vote for Sherman than that LIBERAL YANKEE.”

Not this average Georgian.

Cheers.

As an average Georgian, I would not vote for McCain or Sherman, but I bet I’d be more in tune with Sherman’s immigration policy. That is the one issue that keeps me from voting for McCain, who I supported in 2000. There are other reasons too, e.g., buddies w/swimmer, mentor to Lindsey Lightfoot (truly disgusting) Graham, etc., ad nauseum. I could only vote for McCain if his VP choice were palatable, like Thompson or Romney.
With regard to Coulter, she’s just trying to keep her face in the spotlight. She’s smart and a good writer, but she’s also becoming (has become) a media prostitute. Anyone who loves this country, at least as I see this country, could/would never vote for Mrs. Clinton. Clinton’s powerlust is obsessive and compulsive; she is, by any psychiatric measure, one clinically sick cookie. Just my professional opinion.
For varied and visceral reasons, I could vote for Obama over McCain. Again, if that were the choice, the VP would probably be decisive for me. Also, I may show up at Mitt’s meeting tomorrow. It’s within walking distance of my office.
OT for a moment: You read it here first (maybe not): Our Sen.Chambliss is hated or disliked by most conservative Georgians, not to mention the Dems. He is way too pro big business (supported cheap labor amnesty, for example), out of touch, country club, Teddie friendly, and not too smart. Sen. Issakson is OK, he is smart; but he will need bleach or, more likely, new skivies when he sees the a$$whooping Saxby gets.
