As an average Georgian, I would not vote for McCain or Sherman, but I bet I’d be more in tune with Sherman’s immigration policy. That is the one issue that keeps me from voting for McCain, who I supported in 2000. There are other reasons too, e.g., buddies w/swimmer, mentor to Lindsey Lightfoot (truly disgusting) Graham, etc., ad nauseum. I could only vote for McCain if his VP choice were palatable, like Thompson or Romney.
With regard to Coulter, she’s just trying to keep her face in the spotlight. She’s smart and a good writer, but she’s also becoming (has become) a media prostitute. Anyone who loves this country, at least as I see this country, could/would never vote for Mrs. Clinton. Clinton’s powerlust is obsessive and compulsive; she is, by any psychiatric measure, one clinically sick cookie. Just my professional opinion.
For varied and visceral reasons, I could vote for Obama over McCain. Again, if that were the choice, the VP would probably be decisive for me. Also, I may show up at Mitt’s meeting tomorrow. It’s within walking distance of my office.
OT for a moment: You read it here first (maybe not): Our Sen.Chambliss is hated or disliked by most conservative Georgians, not to mention the Dems. He is way too pro big business (supported cheap labor amnesty, for example), out of touch, country club, Teddie friendly, and not too smart. Sen. Issakson is OK, he is smart; but he will need bleach or, more likely, new skivies when he sees the a$$whooping Saxby gets.

Even the Atlanta Urinal-Constipation couldn't ignore that Mitt is the best choice for nomination.

“Georgia Leaders stand with John McCain!

Notable Endorsements

Senator Saxby Chambliss
Senator Johnny Isakson”

Hello, ‘my friend’. Of course they stand with McCain. Chambliss and the rest of the Georgia delegation, including NEWT, raised cain over workplace enforcement of aliens at onion farms in Georgia that Clinton was doing. They are the reason there has been no workplace enforcement for years!

The biggest problem with McCain is that he is a follower. He has always taken orders from someone else. He’s a good little boy and does what he’s told......especially by those with the money.

McCain's marriage to the GOP suffers a problem that occurs in many real marriages. A wife will demand that a husband act like a husband. By contrast, a mistress will only demand that her lover act like a lover.

John McCain has discovered that the Democrats will treat him far better for voting their way half the time, than the Republicans will treat him for voting their way 75% of the time. Were he to officially become a Democrat, he'd find that he'd get treated horribly unless he voted their way 90% of the time, but as long as he's merely their paramour he gets most of the benefits of their support with few of the responsibilities.

I was beginning to gather that about Saxby. Nothing wrong with social networking, unless it overrides one’s principles...

OTOH — Phil Gingrey is a man of character and his endorsement of Romney means a LOT to me.

Excellent analogy.

You are so right. The democrats don’t tolerate “mavericks”, they kick them out of the party. Despite Lieberman being with them 99% of the time he was still not pure enough for them and had to become an independent.

I have been in FL for 20 years. I hate YANKEES. They don't get any more YANKEE than MYTH.

Hey, F-Off! It's one thing to be against a candidate or to prefer one region over another but to paint with such a broad brush people from a certain region as having NO value and to be hated is beyond childish - it's straight up bigotry.

In fact I would like to inform others the esteemed Rome2000 was comfortable with stating on another thread (paraphrasing): "The blacks are 13% of the population no thanks to Abraham Lincoln." That statement and the one in this thread are both textbook examples of bigotry.

PS: Rome2000 hates Mormons too. Just call it a bigotry hat trick.

Yes, I know. He even posted hate on the thread about the head of the LDS church's death. He should be proud. That's the type of people I like to associate with.

Blacks are 13% of the population thanks to Lincoln, who decided against repatriation.

That is a fact.

MYTH supporters are not very big on facts.

By all means keep up the personal attacks, now that your MYTH is exposed and going down in flames I understand your frustration.

If he fails this year this election cycle will have been good experience for Romney. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say he would be a leading candidate for the GOP nomination in 2012.

If McCrazy ever became president I fear the world will never see 2012.

Yes, and I almost forgot: Atlanta’s very own Herman Cain endorsed Romney today in the AJC:
