Regardless if he had signed it or vetoed it, it would have passed

We'll never know. But Romney would have missed his photo op surrounded by beaming socialists.

I doubt mojave is interested in knowing the details at what actually may have happened to the bill. Earlier today, Mojave posted the link to a story that said Romney lost his temper with the AP reporter who disagreed with what Romney said regarding having no lobbyists Running his campaign.
For those of us who saw the clip, we could see Romney stood his ground in a respectful manner, and did not lose his temper.

I think I will go. It's too close to my house not to.

Anyone else going to go?

Man, will the guy be fatigued or not? Sheesh. What a day he has tomorrow. And we think WE have commutes. May it all pay off for Mitt Tuesday.

He signed it.

So what. It is obvious you do not like Romney. Too bad you are in the minority.

That is what Mitt said. I don’t automatically believe he is a liar like others do. Actually i don’t think many politicians win that don’t stretch the truth some. He definitely has the best temperament and is very nice on the eyes. unlike the other pubbies.... and if walid pharises, tammy bruce, tom tancredo,Ann,Rush,Sean, etc that just validates it for me.

So what.

It exposed him as the leading socialist RINO in America. That's all.

BS, you know full well the 85% Dem legislature in MA added in the troubling elements over Governor Romney’s opposition.
Mojave: He signed it.

It was the next governor and legislature that expanded the health care program, not Romney.

I don’t know how these guys do it with all that travelling. It was so nice of CNN to schedule that debate the day after the Florida primaries, wasn’t it. Notice the dems didn’t have their debate until Thursday, even though they did not do any campaigning, except for hillary, in Florida.

"State projections obtained by the Globe show the program reaching 342,000 people and $1.35 billion in annual expenses by June 2011. Those figures would far outstrip the original plans for the Commonwealth Care program, largely because state officials underestimated the number of uninsured residents. The state has asked the federal government to shoulder roughly half of the program's cost from 2009 through 2011, but there is no guarantee of that funding. Commonwealth Care provides free or subsidized insurance for low- and moderate-income residents."

Just saw this on Drudge’s site, would explain why Romney has decided to come to CA.
We’ve been getting quite a few survey phone calls these past few days.

Romney is widening his lead in California and has a really big advantage with conservatives,” Zogby said. “Romney winning California would give some Republicans pause when they look at McCain as the potential nominee.”

Romney said he would cut short a scheduled trip to Georgia and fly back to California on Monday for a last-minute campaign visit.

I’m planning to attend his LB stop, and have decided to vote for him on Tues. I think he matches up best against Obama and Hillary. A base conservative as VP would seal the deal.

I am encouraged. He is the last chance for this election cycle. Not perfect, but good enough under the circumstances.

The Romney Surge In California And Georgia, And The Leadership Of Talk Rado

Posted by: Hugh Hewitt at 9:38 AM

Reuters/C-Span/Zogby has the Romney lead in California up to 8 points!

In Georgia, the McCain lead of 2 points is within the margin of error.

Huckabee voters across the country are indeed coming to Rush's conclusion that "a vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain."

Romney credits talk radio with helping to lead his comeback after his narrow loss in Florida.  While it is difficult to overstate Rush's influence on American conservatives, and while all of the talkers have audiences that do indeed listen intently, the real reason behind the Romney surge is the incredible connectedness of center-right voters and the sheer amount of data they take in.  The talkers just opened the spigots on the information, much like they did when the audience killed the McCain-Kennedy immigration bill in the spring and summer.

Rush sets the menu for more than 20 million people, and the rest of us for smaller but still very large audiences.

But the listeners decide what to order...
