Looks like China is not the only one with problems. The US Pacific Northwest is beginning to structurally fail under an immense and never ending snowfall.
They should call the people in Valdez, Alaska and ask them for suggestions.
Average Annual Snowfall (in city): 325.6 inches
Average Snowfall in Thompson Pass: over 600 inches
Record Snowfall (in city): 556.7 inches (1989/90)

Call the moonbats and Al Goron for help!
Politicians who are repeating the global warming mantra these last years should be regarded as laughable opportunist clowns
where are those “water shortage grips western states” articles from last week?
68 deg at 6:50 AM here in Dallas
Lucky dogs. You all might hit 70 to 80 today. The Southeast has gotten off relatively easy this winter compared to what the West and North Central has had to endure. That is typical of a La Nina.
Feel for the people of Oregon - like the people of China. Snow is not funny when it comes like this.
Hope we can mobilize the help the people of Oregon need now asap.
The problem is getting to them. If they stop plowing the streets, these people may get isolated for weeks. How do you drop supplies when the house and yard are buried under snow ?
In Alaska, houses are constructed to deal with lots of snow falling on them, probably with high, greatly-sloping roofs so the snow slides off. Builders in oregon were not planning on snowfalls this heavy
Supposed to hit 75.
Hope we get a cool summer
Supposed to be in the mid-50’s in New York on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Expect global warming stories from the media because they’re hot.
The Pacific has cooled first (La Nina), the Atlantic is still warm to mild. That may not be the case next winter. So enjoy it while it lasts.
Could they scoop up the snow and put it in dumptrucks to truck to some field somewhere and dump?
Surely somebody in this country has answers, though the biggest answer would be a huge warming trend ....and fast/
Will pray for Oregonians as have been praying for the people of China. God help them - and soon!
I saw watching video from Detroit, Oregon this weekend. Noticed people having trouble with too much snow on their roofs.
Why do they build homes in these snow areas with such a flat pitch?
Yes, but...
We are out of room and snow plowing money so are in danger of having to suspend snow plowing of the streets.
Unfortunately, not gonna happen. A new Arctic blast starts coming down from Western Canada in a couple of days. That mayor sounds frustrated. I am sure he is dealing with a state government agency that is spending most of its time worrying about the theoretical affects of global warming. Perhaps it is time to stop looking at the computer models and time to start looking at the actual climate.
