* TORNADO WARNING FOR... NORTHWESTERN HICKMAN COUNTY IN TENNESSEE... SOUTHEASTERN HUMPHREYS COUNTY IN TENNESSEE...

* UNTIL 1215 AM CST

* AT 1138 PM CST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO OVER EXTREME NORTH CENTRAL PERRY COUNTY...OR ABOUT 13 MILES NORTH OF LINDEN... MOVING NORTHEAST AT 50 MPH.

* THE TORNADO WILL BE IN... RURAL SOUTHERN HUMPHREYS COUNTY AT 1150 PM CST RURAL NORTHWESTERN HICKMAN COUNTY AT 1150 PM CST RURAL EASTERN HUMPHREYS COUNTY AT MIDNIGHT CST RURAL NORTHERN HICKMAN COUNTY AT MIDNIGHT CST

IF IN MOBILE HOMES OR VEHICLES... EVACUATE THEM AND GET INSIDE A STURDY SHELTER. IF NO SHELTER IS AVAILABLE... LIE FLAT IN THE NEAREST DITCH OR OTHER LOW SPOT AND COVER YOUR HEAD WITH YOUR HANDS.

THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE DURING A TORNADO IS IN A BASEMENT. GET UNDER A WORKBENCH OR OTHER PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE. IF NO BASEMENT IS AVAILABLE...SEEK SHELTER ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF THE BUILDING IN AN INTERIOR HALLWAY OR ROOM SUCH AS A CLOSET. USE BLANKETS OR PILLOWS TO COVER YOUR BODY AND ALWAYS STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.
