Can McCain Be Trusted With Nukes?
pinochet

Posted on 02/07/2008 7:17:56 PM PST by pinochet

McPain's biggest problem may not be that he is a leftist RINO who hates conservatives, as bad as that fact is on its own. Let's Face it.....he is nuts! He makes Ron Paul and his kooks look sane.

Sen. Thad Cochran of Mississippi was quoted saying a few days ago that:

"The thought of him being president sends a cold chill down my spine...He is erratic. He is hotheaded. He loses his temper and it worries me" http://www.ajc.com/opinion/content/opinion/bookman/stories/2008/02/06/bookmaned_0207.html

Can you all remember his rage in 2000, when he trashed evangelical Christians, and compared Rev. Robertson and the late Rev. Falwell to Farrakhan and Sharpton? He has repeatedly lost his temper in his low-stress job as a US Senator. How is he going to handle the high stress of the Oval Office? Is he mentally and psychologically up to it? If conservatives make him mad when he is President, such as opposing a second attempt at amnesty, what do you think he will do to them? Unleash the IRS? Worse?

McCain's believes that America owes him the Presidency, because he suffered as a POW in Vietnam. He does not believe that non-Veterans have the right to question any of the pig-headed decisions he makes. His hateful attacks on Romney during the last primary debate, denigrating Romney's achievements as a businessman, and saying that he did not serve his country for profit, was deeply troubling. And his twisting of Romney's comments about Bob Dole, to hint at Romney's lack of military service, was just nasty.

When he was under investigation over his involvement in the Keating Five scandal in the 1980s, he repeatedly played the Vietnam card, which intimidated those investigating him. The implication was that veterans who have been in combat deserve special treatment, and cannot be subjected to the same laws as the rest of us. McInsane has played the Vietnam card far more than John Kerry.

What do you think would happen, if congress were to try to impeach him for misconduct as President? He would constantly remind the congressmen that they were not tortured in Nam.

If Russia was to p!ss him off, would he bomb them? Do you trust McNuts with nukes?

Huckabee may be a RINO. But he is a sane, stable, and predictable RINO. He is also consistent on the pro-life position, on the second ammendemnt, and he can be persuaded to choose conservative judges. If conservatives unite behind the Huckster, he can win the nomination.

Better question:

Can a Muslim (HUSSEIN Obama) be trusted with nukes?

Of course not.

Yes, he can be trusted with nukes.

What he can’t be trusted with is the Constitution and the duty to enforce our immigration laws.

Maybe they should test the poster also.

Have we stooped to the level of DU and Kos with titles such as this?

Why is it silly to question the mental stability of a 71 year old former POW who was tortured by the Commies, once said he would “always hate the gooks”, and makes jokes about “bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb bomb Iran” (to the tune of ‘Barbara Ann’)?

No RINO is predictable. That's part of what makes them a RINO.

Sorry, but to me Huckabee is lockstep with Hillary, he’s playing a game to get elected.

Yes, he’s nuts. And he would be a terrible Commander in Chief. It would be like giving your ship to Captain Queeg.

But forget Huckabee. It ain’t gonna happen.

Can he be trusted with nukes?

What a silly question...I once served on a polaris submarine as a radioman (back in the 60s when we still copied the fleet broadcast in morse code). The so-called "nuclear button" is nothing like you can suppose (in either the U.S. Navy or the U.S. Air Force). A president must go through a series of intricate security procedures to order a launch and it could NEVER happen on a "whim"!

He won’t get the chance.

The main stream media, the Democrat Party, and Clinton attack machine will destroy him.

The media snookered the Republicans into nominating him, now they are going to attack him as they have never attacked anyone else, including George Bush.

First, I'd vote for McCain 1000 times before I'd vote for the Huckster. Hell, I'd vote for Hillary before I'd vote for the Huckster.

"The thought of him being president sends a cold chill down my spine...He is erratic. He is hotheaded. He loses his temper and it worries me"

Still, McCain could be the Nixon of our time...and that's not necessarily a good thing.

A hawk, to the left of his party on social issues, to the left of his party on economic issues, willing to spend your money...willing to use the power of the Federal Government to do what he thinks is best. Paranoid.

The Huckster is just a dunce. That makes him far more dangerous to our national survival in this crazy world. At least McCain is willing to shoot somebody.
