Canadian folk rock legendHe has dual citizenship. He's Canadian when it serves his purpose, American when it serves his purpose, mainly at tax time.

You’re not alone. Plenty of us here grew up hating that crap, along with Dental Health Month, disaster films, songs by Barry Manilow and Neil Diamond....

ROFL. How long did it take him to figure that out?
Though I still believe a karmic hug can fix anything.

It cost Crosby a liver transplant to figure out that too much alcohol is bad for you. Not real quick on the uptake that one. Faster than Neil, but that’s not sayin much.

On my iTunes shuffle as I read through the article and comments:
Safety Dance - Men Without Hats
Ohio - CSNY (I skipped over it, thinking I really need to delete all of Neil Young from my iTunes/iPod)
Spanish Bombs - The Clash
Dream On - Aerosmith
I think my computer has a better sense of humor than I do sometimes.

You do have to laugh at how delusional these people are. It's as if they've grown up in some alternate universe.

Neil Young is one of my most favorite singer songwriters of all time. Began listening to him while in my teens....his voice is either one you love or one you hate.
Unfortunately, as seems to be the case most often concerning most musicians, I cannot abide his politics. So....I tune that out while I tune him in.
*sigh*

You are most welcome... it was a target rich environment.

"I know that the time when music could change the world is past. I really doubt that a single song can make a difference. It is a reality," Young told reporters.Try not to judge everyone by your own failed example, Neil.

Canadian folk rock legend Neil Young said he has lost all hope that music can change the world
In other breaking news, my 4 year old has lost all hope that she can flap her arms and fly to the moon.

“Out of the blue and into the black,
Something ‘bout Neil is out of whack.”
Actually, I enjoy a lot of his stuff, but I believe it is an aquired taste. My personal version of “Unknown Legend” goes something like this: “...My once blonde hair, gray and mighty thin...” Well, my wife liked it.

... thinking I really need to delete all of Neil Young from my iTunes/iPod I must confess that I own over 20 NY albums. The vast majority of his stuff is apolitical and very good. The albums that are overtly political (Living with War) or just plain unlistenable (Greendale) I don't include in my collection. He is certainly one of my top ten favorite music artists; I just wish he would keep his political views to himself.
