“One of my favorite stations (not an NPR or commercial free) is WCLV in Cleveland.”
Ah! I listened to WCLV while I was growing up! Is Carl Haas still doing Adventures in Good Listening? Do they still have WCLV Saterday Night?
“Everybody loves Saturday night!
“Everybody loves Saturday night!
“Everybody, everybody,Everybody loves Saturday night!”
And then it goes into other languages.
One more liberal Jew.
Probably hates Israel too.
Idiot. Unable to distinguish a freckle from malignant skin cancer.
Two million have starved to death unnecessarily in NK,
and the place is a hive of labor camps in which hundreds of thousands barely survive, and he has no words for that,
but only to criticize Guantanamo?
For lefties, this kind of cheap slander against the United States is like cocaine. They simply can’t resist it. It lights up their pleasure centers like a roman candle.
Why are most entertainers idiots?
“Is Carl Haas still doing Adventures in Good Listening?”
Actually, it’s no more :>( Stopped just recently. Had something to do with a request/negotiations with the Haas estate.
Learned TONS from Hass.
Hey,
We here in St. Louis can’t have Chicago claiming the best
in anything without responding...KFUO is outstanding.
Perhaps Maazel will become a citizen of North Korea, like Daniel Barenboim recently accepted Palestinian citizenship.
Maazel wanted Barenboim to succeed him at the NY Phil.

Home of the best band in the land, The Cleveland Orchestra.
The best band in Cleveland anyway. The Chicago Symphony is the best in the world. :-) Seriously though it’s those two that are as good as any in the world.
Some classical critic who travels a lot and listens to those stations all around said that WFMT was a 10 and the next best classical station is a 6 or so. Even in NYC they only do it part time and play excerpts as opposed entire works. It’s great to hear there’s a good one in St Louis. Are they full time classical?
“Is Carl Haas still doing Adventures in Good Listening?”
No,..No he’s not. At the moment, he’s kind of dead.
Yessir. It’s actually a full-time commercial station sponsored by the Missouri Lutheran Synod. They’re currently celebrating their 60th anniversary.

“No,..No hes not. At the moment, hes kind of dead.”
There’s a lot of that going around! ;)
I kind of thought he was . . . I just wasn’t sure. And the program can continue without him.
I guess right now I must say this,
ARE YOU WATCHING THIS, MR. BUSH?
Oh yes, now you reminds me. Their Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture is brilliant.
Last time I checked, we hadn’t starved a million or more Americans, just to keep control of the rest.
I’d love to see this @$$hat’s passport revoked and him declared “persona non grata” so that he couldn’t come home. If he likes the Norks so much, let him stay there and do concerts for the Kims...
