I bet it’s motion sickness. Can happen to veterans. You never know.

Well, the last time he was up in space was 15 years ago. In other words, not recently.

Please note - the guy is 56 years old.

I’m 58, and exceptionally fit, and I can tell you that a whole lot of things do start to go wrong with your body when you repeatedly stress it after 50.

Yes. OTOH there was a news story once (one time only) this morning about flu being reported all over the country, which we probably knew already since a lot have been kind of under the weather the past month.

Looks like the quantine didn’t work. Or do they even bother with that, anymore?

I just put on NASA-TV and they seem to be rescheduling the mission task duties.

They have changed all 3 spacewalks to one day later than scheduled. I imagine because of this illness.

Yeah...he’s three days younger than me! Congrats to him for going up at that age. I can’t imagine me doing that.

To get an idea of what goes on, at least back during the 1980s, read Riding Rockets by Mike Mullane.

He has stories about "space sickness", pre-flight bugs, and sickness problems returning to gravity.

Oh, and the minimally trained "payload specialists" that all but freaked out when environmental problems occurred, such as not being able to use the toilet.

I’m getting queezy just thinking about how he must feel.

I sure hope it isn’t a bug.

"I bet it’s motion sickness. Can happen to veterans."

I've flown as an instructor for years and I'm prone to get airsick when I'm sitting in the right seat instructing.

Sometime I just have to say, "I have the airplane," and take the controls.

Something about the feedback of controlling the aircraft settles the stomach.

The last thing he said to me "Doc," he said, "Sometime when the crew is up against it, the breaks are beating the boys, tell them to get out there and give it all they got and win just one for the Zipper. I don't know where I'll be then, Doc," he said, "but I won't smell too good, that's for sure."
