The math of the RINOs and "compassionate conservatives" has amazed me also. What's the logic?

George Bush pandered to the illegals and raised the GOP's slice of the Hispanic vote to 40%... so the GOP should support making 20 million illegals citizen for the GOP to get 40% of their vote.

The fact that the Dems will get 60% of that vote (and thereby assure their dream of one party rule for decades) either escapes their logic or is supposed to escape Conservatives' notice.

I think W was planning on spending hundreds of billions of gringo taxpayer money on Hispanics to get the percentage over 50%.

Great point, which, if nothing else, clearly points out that McCain is not just not a conservative, for all intents and purposes, he’s not a Republican either. He’s the architect of legislation that would ensure Democrat majorities forever, in Congress and the WH, and therefore in the courts, too. Nobody who cares about the Republican party, much less conservative ideals, would propose such a thing.

And, if he gets in office, he’s a whole lot more likely to get amnesty through than the Democrats, because neither party will fight him. If Hillobama proposes amnesty, the Republicans, at least, will fight it.
