Now, however, I think that Obama will get it.

Never underestimate the hildabeast's machine. She has the "super" delegates lined up. Let the people speak then the super delegates will still select her (some pigs are more equal - Animal Farm).

I do feel we are defeated and the next POTUS, whoever it might be, will mean a lot of "changes"

Alles muss anders sein

No. We know exactly what Hillary will do, and it’s far more destructive than what Obama could manage.

As Jim Noble said in his post, Hillary has a prepared network of apparatchiks ready to roll, a pile of activist judges still indebted to Bill for their appointments, and many international socialist contacts from her time as ‘co-president.’

I guess a bunch of people have forgotten 1993-1994 and exactly how much damage Hill can do to the U.S. in a short period of time.

Even if Obama actually wins, he doesn’t have the power base to accomplish such ills. It would still be bad for him to win of course - he’s a liberal Democrat - but not nearly as bad as Hill.

In the meantime we should attend to our own primaries. That race isn’t over yet either.

I agree with you. Obama has done one thing I admire - he’s stood up to the Clinton machine and given it right back to Hill and Bill. I can respect him for that, though I don’t agree with his policies on the issues. IMO, the Red Witch is a much greater danger to the good of the USA than Obama.

Obama is not that STUPID !!!

He knows fully well that there would be a ferocious uproar if he nominated either or both of them to the SCOTUS. Want a revolution....that’s how he starts one.

In addition, she will use her machine to cement her (and her successor’s) power such that American conservatism will never see the light of day ever again.

Exactly on the mark! Too many conservatives think the country will "see the light" and the next Reagan will save us.

They are ignoring the stacking of the SCOTUS, the elimination of the Electoral College and the appointment of the billdabeast as the overseer of the new world order as the beast's legacy.

Pretty sorry choices all around. The Democrat Hillary, the Republican Hillary, and Obama. I’ve literally become a ABH, ABMc, ABO voter.

Obama is clearly the choice of the majority of Democrat voters prior to the convention, and a quiet deal is cut: Clinton steps side in return for the promise of a SC nomination.

Are you kidding? No judicial experience and scandels up her fat @ss! Her nomination would never get out of commitee, due to uncontrolable laughter!

Hillary’s administration-in-waiting is a clear and present danger to the republic. Young Senator Obama, IMO, is not.

Excellent, well-stated post at #4. I feel the same as you.

"The longer the Democrats fight, the more vicious their battle will get. And the Democratic Party and nominee will be weaker for it going into November."

This MSM writer "begs the question."

I don't think any of them ever took a course in logic. Every editorial is a unending string of informal fallacies.

‘... would America still be considered a hopelessly racist country in which black folks were oppressed and not allowed to get ahead because all white folks hate all black folks?...’

I’ve wondered the same thing. If Mr. Obama becomes President will Americans, who refer to themselves as African-Americans, then consider that America is the land of opportunity for all. And, if Mr. Obama becomes President, perhaps he can prove he’s a “uniter” by declaring he will no longer use hypenated nationalities since we, ALL, should be Americans first and always and he and all Americans owe our allegiance ONLY to America.

I fear Hillary in the White House more than Obama. Obama’s naivite, lack of real political experience and uncertain ability to lead a likely divided Democratic Party will make it less likely for him to successfully implement a leftist agenda. Hillary is an avowed leftist and Fabian socialist who who will ruthlessly pursue her agenda to march the US toward socialism.

When the National Anthem was being played, at least Hillary placed her hand over her heart. Obama refused to. Could it be because muslims honor nothing or no one but allah?

“This is how I see it as well. Not all liberals are equal. There are things about Hillary as president that are far more troubling than just her liberalism.”

They are both very troubling socialists. If either one gets in, look out! Supreme Court appointments, health care, education, amnesty, home loan bailouts for the poor, sitting down to talk with terrorists. Just a few areas they will both turn into disasters.

I don’t understand how the GOP caused this. The conservatives were on the ballot. They just didn’t get the votes in the early states. And they dropped out way too soon. Thompson would have swept the south. He got out after 3 states. Our primary system is totally wrong but it would be just about impossible to change it. Looks like to me the conservative candidates ran really crappy campaigns.

His reasons for supporting Clinton is that she will be easier to beat. That’s very partisan thinking. My thinking, which is patriotic, not partisan, on the matter is that one of the two major party nominees will surely be President in Jan of 2009.

I would, therefore, like both of them to be the best their party has to offer. It’s too risky to say “lets hope the Dems nominate a criminal, scheming, lying, traitor who’s been involved in everything from taking campaign cash from hostile foreign intelligence organizations to covering up financial crime for decades ... because she will be easier to beat.

Bad plan. What happens when the 50-60% chance she wins takes place? She is POTUS. Not good.

Far better to support both candidates being somewhat reasonable, so that in the event your favored one doesn’t win you still have a patriotic and competent adult running things.

He wouldn’t even honor the flag or acknowledge the singing of the National Anthem. Why would he ask for allegience to America when his allegience is clearly somewhere else. You people should read the Obama file. It is a very rude awakening.

It is absolutely frightening to watch the faces of his listening audience. They are absolutely mesmorized (sp). They are listening to their “messiah”

Hillary will be easier to beat because she is so polarizing. The majority of Americans are visceral non-thinkers. Obama has been good at dodging his voting record in both the U.S. Senate and in Illinois’ state congress, as well as his personal philosophy which is Marxist pragmatism. For many reasons, people will vote for Obama where they would come out and vote against Hillary. This latest surge for Obama is indeed scary.
