PLEASE!!!!! Someone tell me why in the hell are these people poking their nose into something that is absolutely none of their damned business???? The audacity of these repugnant people is getting too much. They think they rule the world. The last I checked Major League Baseball was not part of the Federal government!!!

MLB is not part of the government but they receive special treatment of exemption from antitrust. So Congress has the oversight.

Haha. Pettitte came out admitted it, figured he only did it a few times, was trying to get healthy off of surgery, thought he’d be quickly forgiven by the fans. And he was right, but what he didn’t think about is he sunk Clemens by giving McNamee credibility. Now they’re going to ask him difficult questions under penalty of perjury, and he knows he’s going to sink Clemens even deeper if he testifies.

I’m not a MLB fan, so it’s hard to keep track of what’s going on, with so many involved. Thanks for clarifying it.

Roger ego is bigger than the baseball field while Pettite is humble and honest. Big Egos always go down in flames. Reminds me of the Pete Rose story.

From what I remember of Clemens, I wouldn’t want to be in his line of fire, either.

Out of all the accused Roger is the only one denying the use of performance drugs.

So even if cheating at baseball was a worthy issue for Congress to investigate, it has already been established that it is a problem. Only with one person, Mr. Clemens, guilt is undetermined.

Sounds like something for a court to ferret out, not Congress. Sounds like the congress critters are just looking for a lot of publicity, rather than dealing with their constitutional duties.

If the major sporting leagues were smart, they would tell Congress to pound sand. With historically low approval ratings I doubt that Congress would have the nads to shut down MLB or the NFL. The commissioners should dare Congress to pull the antitrust exemptions and pi$$ off the (voting)fans of those leagues.

Ol’ Barry was indicted for perjuring himself during his Grand Jury testimony. There’s also a little matter of tax evasion. Oh, and no one has signed him for the upcoming season, with spring training starting in a couple weeks. Other than that, everything’s going swell for the home run king.

Ask Mike Piazza. Roger throws bats like Hillary throws lamps.
