(UK) Council pays psychic for exorcism

Council pays psychic for exorcism

A psychic was paid £60 by a council to rid a County Durham home of a "poltergeist" after a family became "distraught" by unexplained events. Easington Council employed the ghostbuster after a Peterlee tenant reported paranormal activity.

The mother-of-two had even called police after seeing objects flying across rooms and hearing banging.

A council spokesman said it funded half the psychic's fee as it was the most cost effective solution.

Andrew Burnip, the council's homelessness and housing advice manager, said the tenant's two young children had been "traumatised" by the strange goings on and wanted to leave the house.

The council considered rehousing the family in temporary accommodation but this would have cost up to £40 per night.

Mr Burnip said: "This family was absolutely distraught and believed what was happening - that is not to say that the council believed.

"What we saw was a relatively small amount to pay for an outcome which in effect saved the taxpayer many hundreds, if not thousands of pounds."

Psychic Suzanne Hadwin said she used her "gift" to isolate the spirit in one room and then exorcise it from the house.

"I went into the house and there was a horrible atmosphere," she said.

"I could feel the entity around all the time. He was bombarding the house and the whole family - they were terrified."

Ah — but the problem won’t go away until a new subway extension is built under the house. Then a one million year old spaceship will be found along with its alien insect crew.

And THEN all heck will break loose...

I have a new, cutting edge business franchise that would rake in the $$$.

Drive-Thru Exorcisms

You could even have one of those 'talk into the speaker' menus where you could select what type of evil force is infecting you.

There have to be a zillion great names for the franchise, and some very creative commercials.

You may laugh......for now.

£60 to remove an evil spirit is pretty competitive. I’m quite impressed. It cost me that to get a tooth pulled.
