The Melbourne Tower and the Orlando Tower are BOTH offline- they aren’t receiving signals...all Central Florida counties on heightened sense of alert/watch...the conditions here are perfect for a bad night of storms ..

We’re in south Pinellas. Having pretty heavy spurts of rain now, so I switched on our marine radio (which was handy) and hear that we’re expected to have wind gusts of 50-60 mph later tonight, with hail and lightning, possible waterspouts, seas in Tampa Bay and surrounding waters will be 7 ft. in the AM...that should make commuting across the bridges “exciting.”

I’m on the other side of the bay near Apollo Beach. Might have to run over to see the cool waves. Driving over the skyway might be more exciting than I want though.

Do not be concerned. The American taxpayer will pay for all losses encountered by Florida citizens. We have an extended history of taking care of anyone too stupid to buy insurance.

Pretty much everyone in Florida has insurance. A measly little storm like this isn’t going to cause too much damage to modern homes. Mobile homes and older homes are more at risk though.

Don’t they have tornadoes elsewhere in the country? Is there a reason you are calling all Florida citizens stupid?

They, Harris, is still there, but they don’t make semiconductors anymore. My mother-in-law lives just down about a mile from there. Our company still does business with them from time to time............Communications switching systems and HF receiver stuff......

Tornado watches in effect down here in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties until 11 p.m.

This should be a lovely commute home this evening.

I had a feeling when you mentioned where he is that he was pretty close to it.

Have you talked to him?

Talking to the one who works on base now - he's home safe in Titusville - my son at the Cocoa Beach - haven't heard but the one I'M talking to now says he's okay - tornado wasn't close enough to do damage - so good, so far

Thank you and thank God
