Berkeley vs. Marines Counter Protest
IRCPolitics ^ | 02/08/08 | FreeTrade

On Tuesday, February 8, 2008, the Berkeley City Council admitted they made a mistake when they passed a law declaring that the U.S. Marine recruiting office was not wanted in Berkeley. They said that the Marines were "unwelcome intruders and should abandon their posts". Adding insult to injury, they gave a coveted parking space directly in front of the Marine recruiting office, to Code Pink. This was interpreted as encouraging Code Pink to continue their repulsive protests. The Berkeley City Council did not anticipate the national reaction, as people across America were infuriated at their contempt for our Military. A counter-protest was organized and our own roving reporter, FreeTrade, was there to cover the action for us and has provided us with on-the-spot pictures.

I found it on the first page pointed to by the link. It wasn't specifically Berkeley video, but was a nice production nonetheless. You can try this as a slightly more direct link....

PS - Thanks for all your posts SandRat! I don't tell you that enough.

On Tuesday, February 8, 2008, the Berkeley City Council admitted they made a mistake when they passed a law declaring that the U.S. Marine recruiting office was not wanted in Berkeley.

The city council didn't pass a law; it approved a resolution directing the city manager to send a letter to the Marine recruiting office declaring it was not wanted in Berkeley and the Marines would be uninvited and unwelcome intruders if the recruiting office remains in Berkeley.

Berkley is as Berkley does. The education level there has gone way past drug induced liberal stupid into open hatred for our country and way of life. Spoiled people often loathe a free way of life. After all the sex and drugs they can stomach theirs nothing left and they are bored and further, it’s your fault Marines.

Let them seceed and retract the protection of the U.S. military. I imigine there are lots of Mexicans that can come and provide protection services for their new little campus country and provide all the sex and drugs they want at the same time.

Marines, you make me proud for defending me against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I know if required you would stand guard stoically at the gates of Berkely while students and faculty spit on you and you know what? So does all the rest of America know this now about Berkley.

This time proud marines, we will bring the fight to Berkley against the United States of America by not sending our kids to college there and waging war on there bottom line.

Hmmmm Let's see, does this mean that they would grant special parking spaces to Right-to-Life protestors in front of abortion clinics in the city?

The logic seems the same to me...

Berkley County of Communists is my nomination. What shame communism still lives on. The gunnies know what to do with and without a rifle and without with these dung heaps.
