Yes, We Can! Creepy Obama Campaign Commercial

From the composer:

"I was sitting in my recording studio watching the debates...
Torn between the candidates
I was never really big on politics...
and actually I'm still not big on politics...
but 4 years ago, me and the black eyed peas supported Kerry...
And we supported Kerry with all our might...
We performed and performed and performed for the DNC...
doing all we could do to get the youth involved...

The outcome of the last 2 elections has saddened me...
on how unfair, backwards, upside down, unbalanced, untruthful,
corrupt, and just simply, how wrong the world and "politics" are...

So this year i wanted to get involved and do all i could early...

And i found myself torn...
because this time it's not that simple...
our choices aren't as clear as the last elections ...
last time it was so obvious...
Bush and war vs. no bush and no war...

But this time it's not that simple...
and there are a lot of people that are torn just like i am...
So for awhile I put it off and i was going to wait until it was decided for me...

And then came New Hampshire...
And i was captivated...
Inspired..."

Yes we can... murder another eight hundred thousand innocent unborn children in America his year.

But Scarlett Johannsen says it's okay, so who am I to question?

I don’t believe I have ever seen so much fuss over someone that has accomplished absolutely nothing—unless you count Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.

Britney has sold millions of records. Paris has made a few tv shows. Obama can’t even say that. He is pure NOTHING!

Well put.

Unfortunately, leaving aside his POW history, and looking at what McCain has accomplished in office as an elected official, other than McCain-Finegold (a negative), I am hard pressed to come up with an accomplishment.

If McCain is going to run on his record, his accomplishments in office which is what is relevant, it is going to be just as difficult. Hillary and Obama have less, but none of them have done anything significant. What they have done or attempted to do as senators, is either detrimental to the country or of no significance.

McCain has no vision for the country, unless you count amnesty and global warming taxes, Obama has "hope" and "change." Of course, what that hope is and what kind of change, is vague though Cuba under Castro comes to mind, but he has a verbal vision ( even if lacking in substance).

McCain over against him appears even more of an empty suit. or to put it where you started, I don’t believe I have ever seen so much fuss over someone that has accomplished absolutely nothing—unless you count Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.

well he is the first black man in recent history (man because Carol Mosley Braun was a black woman) to be elected Senator, since Jack Ryan had to drop out because of a scandal and replaced at the last minute with Kooky Karpetbagging Keyes who was for reparations.
So isn’t that an accomplishment?

Does taking a big fat check from Charles Keating count as an "accomplishment"?

I fear I do, that is what roubles me, I will have a lot of problems voting for him. It is his job at this point to convince me.

Accomplishment: something achieved, which is positive and of benefit.

Campaign; promoting the reasons to vote for someone due to their accomplishments in office and proposals for the future, which is the duty of the candidate in reaching out to voters, including conservatives.

Other than negative achievements, McCain-Finegold and negative proposals, McCain-Lieberman, etc., why should I vote for the candidate (voting against another candidate does not count)? Gitmo closed? Anti-waterboarding, redefined as torture, but which is also anti-national security? Taxes ( included the carbon tax)? Amnesty?

The problem many of us are left with is the answer to such questions comes down to " well, he is the Republican, and we're team players (go team go)."

I wish the presidential election were only a form of the Super bowl, fun but meaningless, in the sense it will not bankrupt or kill your grandchildren.

For libs, voting for POTUS is no different from voting for American Idol. Just text in your ballot, folks, and cheating’s ok, anything so your fave wins!

so all of his work as chairman of armed services and the IRI means nothing to you? All his work on cutting spending?

The Concord Coalition and Citizens Against Government Waste would disagree. He is a fiscal as well as national security hero, at a time when even the most conservative republicans were busting up the budget with pork and new entitlements and softening up their support of the war.

So nice of him to take on Che Guevara’s motto “si se puede”.

Obama Hussein is nothing but Duval Patrick redux on the POTUS scale. If you want to see what America will have to go through/experience all you have do do is look at the failed new black “yes we can” governor of Massachusetts, Cadillac Duval. (He is called Cadillac because his first real “decision” once he took over (after breaking his campaign promise to lower property taxes) was to order himself the finest Cadillac CTS GM makes, so he could ride around like king Farook. Less than a month later, he had MA State Troopers drive the car all the way down to Washington DC (while he flew down) so he could be driven around/be seen in it during the governors conference.

Duval is relying on non existing revenue from non existent casinos to make up for millions of dollars in new spending and budget shortfalls and he is turning the MA economy into that of Michigan. His latest move is to impose nearly 300 MILLION dollars of new taxes on MA businesses.

People on FR and in America had better wake up; Obamma is a socialist on a level never before witnessed on the American political landscape and he is VERY dangerous on so many levels to the very future existence of America. Obamma is Chauncey Gardner (Being There)on steroids. He is nothing but an empty suit who has absolutely no experience whatsoever. Who’s only “claim to fame is to speak meaningless platitudes.

We need to support the Republican candidate, even if it is McCain because Obamma and his policies will make Duval Patrick look like a piker.

McCain also has s vision for terrorists. He wants to give them ACLU trials in America, close down Gitmo, and forbid waterboarding. Oh, he also said that America had essentially practiced torture in Iraq.

McCain’s vision is where terrorists will be coddled.

Actually, they call Deval Patrick,"Coupe" Deval when he tried to foist the Caddie lease on the taxpayers, instead of just utilizing a state motor pool Crown Vic. ("The heater didn't work...")

Any way, Patrick, the Kennedys, and the French looking John Kerry supported Obama, so the Dem primary voters went for Clinton.

His color is an accomplishment? Beside he’s not black. He’s the first mustard yellow man to be elected Senator.

How come everyone is translating “si se puede” as “yes we can?” Isn’t “puede” the first person active indicative and “se” a singular reflexive pronoun? Wouldn’t “yes we can” in Spanish be “Si, nosotros podemos?” “Si, se puede” would be “Yes, this one can.”
