As Hong Kong shivers through its second-longest cold spell since 1885, scientists point to global warming to explain the abnormal cold weather phenomenon worldwide.

"We are seeing extremely unusual weather across the world," said polar researcher Rebecca Lee Lok-sze.

No matter what the weather/climate does, it`s the fault of man-made global warming and human sin. The colder it gets, the hotter it will get, and the hotter it gets, the colder it will become. Any and every weather anamoly can now be blamed on global warming.

Actually, I noticed this at least a year ago, maybe longer. They stopped using the term "global warming" and now, almost exclusively, use "climate change". That way, whatever way the "climate changes", it's our fault.

I also think that it was embarassing to have "global warming" be the punchline for a joke every time you were up to you rear end in snow.

Haven’t had balmy 28F in 3 weeks. By the way, the snow that fell here in November is still on the ground. You poor baby!

Ridiculous indeed since we are entering a cyclic mini ice age.

It will be dark tonight, getting gradually lighter toward morning - must be global warming.

And I think we can probably assign a name to those who do it:

Global Warmongers

We have been in an Ice Age all along. This is an Ice Age. The presence of ice at both polar regions is the main indicator. Most of the time we are not in an Ice Age and there is no ice. But, now there is ice, so . . . Ice Age.

You may disparage the qualifications of the "polar researcher" and her cosmetic design license, but you fail to nothe her findings have been duly verified:

Greenpeace echoed the view, saying mainland scientists had also concluded that the extreme cold weather in China was triggered by climate change. "This does not only cause an increase in global warming but also causes extreme weather patterns," said campaigner Edward Chan.

The obvious political solution to climate change is to return to a property requirement in voting.

How do they keep getting away with this nonsense?

It appears to be nonsense only when viewed as a scientific fact. But it isn't a scientific fact. It is a moral fact having nothing to do with nature or science.

anyone notice with a world wide record of total failure, socialism and communism seems to have lost it’s allure or appeal to many young secularists. Despite this, the left’s crazy compulsion for a kind of cosmic justice remains largely unfilled. It makes sense that it was only a matter of time before a new “religion” for the left stepped to take it’s place..

“Love her qualifications for Polar Researcher. She is a professor of interior design...ruk ruk ruk....”

Yup. And the statements made by this noted “polar researcher” will make headlines around the world.

"We are seeing extremely unusual weather across the world," said polar researcher Rebecca Lee Lok-sze. "This is due to human activities and our style of living. Carbon dioxide emissions are heavy, which is changing the weather rapidly. We could see colder winters and hotter summers in the future in Hong Kong."

Hilarious.

There's no longer any attempt to provide an actual scientific basis for these claims. Just listen to the scary stories, children, and ignore your lying eyes.

Just run through the litany of garbage the left has spewed in the past:

New Ice Age
Nuclear meltdown (China Syndrome)
Nuclear Winter
Atomic Mutation
Toxic Mold
Radon Gas
Ozone Depletion
Global Warming, a/k/a “Climate Change”

My favorite is “ozone depletion.” My son asked about that, and as he was taking chemistry at the time and had had earth science, I just walked him through it. What is ozone? O3, an unstable ionized molecule. How is it created? By cosmic rays striking O2 molecules in the upper atmosphere. What happens to O3? Because it is unstable, it will revert to O2 whenever it can. So does it follow that if you shut off the supply of cosmic rays in the upper atmosphere, the amount of O3 will diminish, perhaps disappear? Yes. Where do the “Ozone holes” exist? At the poles. All the time? No, only during the polar winter. How much solar radiation does one of the earth’s poles receive during a polar winter? Very little. So wouldn’t you expect there to be holes in the ozone layer during a polar winter? Yes.

See, it’s so simple any high school student who bothers to use their brain and a little logic can see how this is BS. Same with “climate change” and all their other “monster in the closet/monster under the bed/drunken step-dad” scare stories.

Who knows what they will come up with next....
