President Daniel Ortega, who led the 1979 revolution in Nicaragua, says Barack Obama's presidential bid is a "revolutionary" phenomenon in the United States.

"It's not to say that there is already a revolution under way in the U.S. ... but yes, they are laying the foundations for a revolutionary change," the Sandinista leader said Wednesday night as he accepted an honorary doctorate from an engineering university.

Ortega led a Soviet-backed government that battled U.S.-supported Contra rebels before he lost power in a 1990 election. He returned to office last year via the ballot box.

Approbation from one Marxist to another.

What do the “ I hate McCain and I'm staying home” whiners have to say.
A fellow radical socialist just sent a kiss to a fellow Marxists !
Wake up people to the radical left’s new darling.
What is the real source of all his cash outside Soros , Moveon.org and the Daley machine ?
Is Hugo, Fidel , Putin and China sending Osama Obama money ?
Has anyone in the leftist media want to check that out ?
Hell No!

“It’s not to say that there is already a revolution under way in the U.S. ... but yes, they are laying the foundations for a revolutionary change”

Ortega may be right. Given the turnouts and voting patterns associated with Obama’s success thus far, it would be interesting to see just what his supporters think they are saying or doing by their votes. Is this really a revolution of sorts in the making? If so, what has lead to this? It seems to me that’s something worth thinking about.

Ortega's idea of a "revolutionary change" is the confiscation of private property which he did on a massive scale in Nicaragua. Just great! And we have FReepers who are going to allow a Democrat to become our President and Commander in Chief! Just frikin' great!

Years? 90 days - and that’s for the ones who’ve never read the book. The corporatists - as opposed to the genuine entrepreneurial capitalists - will play along indefinitely, however.

Funny, too, people that think they are being exploited by big business somehow believe they could never be exploited by an all powerful government.

Makes perfect sense, doesn't it,,, "Take power from the many to keep them from "exploiting" and give it to the few!

I have never in all my life thought I would witness what I have in America thus far.

It is nice Ortega took some time out from sodomizing 12 year girls and fraternizing with Amadinejad and FARC to endorse Obama.

What do the “ I hate McCain and I'm staying home” whiners have to say.

It is pretty damn simple, we aren't voting for a gun grabbing, illegal immigration endorsing, free speech hating, corrupt Manchurian candidate.
