I-95 has been called the "Iron Pipeline," because it is a common route used to smuggle guns from southern states with more relaxed gun laws into cities further up the coast.

It's ironic (ahem) that the areas with lax gun laws enjoy lower crime, and the the stricter areas higher crime. Then you have this trafficking problem, which is osmotic in nature.

These wonks could easily solve the "illegal" gun trafficking problem by easing restrictions in places like NYC, so that smuggling wouldn't be necessary. Problem solved!

You can get anything in NYC ~ you can trade any commodity for any other commodity. Wiping out I-95 will not change that.
